Education: Master`s degree in English/ Mass Communication/ Journalism/ Public Relations or any other relevant discipline from a recognised university/ institution.
Requirements: Skills Required: Additional Requirements: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design tools.
Strong writing and editing skills to produce clear and engaging content.
Knowledge of human rights and gender mainstreaming.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Ability to travel anywhere in Bangladesh.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant field/ development sector.
Responsibilities & Context: Job Purpose: The Manager will lead and deliver communication initiatives for the Social Compliance programme to increase visibility, showcase impact, and strenghten stakeholder engagement. This role also involves developing communication strategies, coordinating with programmes to highlight key achievements and strengthen the programme’s overall presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the annual communications strategy and roadmap for the programme, aligned with AOP objectives and across all channels.
- Plan and manage the communications budget to ensure efficient resource allocation and maximum programme impact.
- Coordinate with programme leadership, central communications and other BRAC programmes to ensure cohesive RMG branding and communication opportunities.
- Build communications capacity of programme staff through trainings, resources, and knowledge-sharing.
- Deliver at least one flagship, high-impact communications initiative annually and oversee content for active and upcoming projects.
- Produce and direct storytelling and advocacy materials, documentaries, audiovisuals, case studies and write/publish thought leadership, blogs, and op-eds.
- Manage programme social media and website content, support high level events with speeches/presentations, and represent the programme in the events.
- Manage external vendors/consultants, run communications/training sessions for factory management and corporate clients, partner with Safeguarding/SHRC to align messaging, and advise NIRAPON/BRAC University on income generating communication products.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
