Requirements: Skills Required: Additional Requirements: - MUST have at least 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistic, clearance or forwarding particularly.
- Experience in Trading & Manufacturing Supply Chain (i.e. chartering and bulk vessels operations) Good knowledge of clearance & forwarding procedures and to be familiar with the local authorities’ rules & regulations.
- Requirements include a working knowledge of import and export regulations, customs regulations, customs brokerage and incoterms.
- Excellent analytical skills.Excellent English language (speaking, reading and writing).
- Excellent interpersonal & relationship management skills.Project Management skills.
- Excellent negotiating and influencing skills, at all levels are essential.
- Excellent IT skills to include wide experience ERP MS office suits (i.e. Word, Advance Excel including pivot tables, logic functions and charts and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities & Context: Responsible to achieve any import and export procedures with local governmental authorities (registrations, required approvals…etc.).
Responsible for registration of incoming materials with regulatory authorities (i.e. SFDA) and in coordination with internal departments.
Manage pre-clearance process from the point receiving copy of shipping documents from procurement as well as maintaining close follow up on original shipping documents receiving, including but not limited to SASO, SABER etc.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the process of imports permission for shipments importation from regulatory authorities (i.e. SFDA) as well as ensuring concessions are well adopted from customs on all imports.
- Responsible for managing the performance and the relationship with customs clearance agents (i.e. SLA, customs clearance operations, payments control).
- Responsible to follow up clearing agents closely to maintain clearance of the imported shipments within specified.
- Responsible for revising clearance documents and maintain all the required invoices and certificates upon account reconciliation with clearing agent.
- Developing insurance framework covering (marine, inland transportation and warehousing) as well as ensuring every shipment and/or cargo is insured and risk covered.
- Responsible for handling insurance claims with insurance providers in a timely manner.
- Responsible for tracking the value of shipments insured YTD all the time.
- Responsible for qualifying, developing and managing end-to-end courier accounts with local and international couriers.
- Manage the relationship with port authorities, free zones and bonded areas to ensure smooth vessel operations, storage, transportation shunting and clearance process and without any delays.
- Responsible to manage end-to-end logistics execution (including but not limited to daily tracking vessels/shipments, surveyors appointment, agent & stevedores follow-up on prospects and berthing, laytime calculation as per contracts terms and CP, SOF review, close coordination with fleet management to deploy the necessary trucks on time and assure availability of fleet at all times while discharging, close coordination with terminal & flat stores unit for smooth offloading).
- Continuously monitor bulk(i.e. Baltic Index) and containers freight rates as well as airfreight.
- Develop, maintain and manage relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, shipowners, shipbrokers as well as negotiations and end-to-end execution.
- Handle ownership and responsibility for demurrage/dispatch for all shipments, avoiding and ensuring no demurrage is reported.
- Responsible for maintaining proper filing organized for all clearance documents and shipments, coordinating this with the finance and other internal units (i.e. Warehousing, procurement and fleet management).
- Maintain daily reporting of tracking shipments and shipments &contracts executions.
