Education:
∎ Master’s preferably in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, or a relevant field. Advanced degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science from recognized institution/University would be an advantage. (Candidates with a PhD are strongly encouraged to apply)

∎ At least 7 years of relevant experience in livestock sector with a specific focus on small-scale livestock production, and nutrition-sensitive agriculture. (Experience with World Bank-funded projects will be considered an asset).
∎ Experience in developing/adapting implementation manual, training modules, user guides, and training and coaching of volunteers, agricultural extension staff
∎ Proven experience working on World Bank, international NGO, or government-funded development projects, especially those targeting poverty alleviation, nutrition, or climate resilience will be considered an asset.
∎ Experience in designing and implementing training programs, capacity-building initiatives, and community-based livestock projects in rural or low-resource settings.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, government officials, NGOs, and local communities.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other data analysis and reporting software.
∎ In-depth technical knowledge of livestock health, nutrition, breeding, and disease management, particularly for low-cost, small-scale operations.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bengali.
∎ Proven ability to prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders and donors.

∎ Design scalable and replicable livestock models for diverse regions across Bangladesh.
∎ Develop climate-resilient livestock management practices to improve drought resistance, heat tolerance, and disaster resilience.
∎ Conduct training for small-scale farmers, field officers, and project staff on nutrition-sensitive and climate-resilient livestock practices.
∎ Build the capacity of local government, NGOs, and community organizations for long-term project sustainability.
∎ Develop user-friendly, culturally relevant materials to promote local adoption of sustainable livestock practices.
∎ Foster collaboration with project teams, government departments, and community organizations, aligning with national policies.
∎ Conduct field visits to monitor livestock health, productivity, and project effectiveness.
