Educational Requirements:
∎ Advanced degree in economics, business, finance or related area.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical leadership on development of opportunities for income-generating activities and private sector engagement.
∎ Coordinate and oversee private sector engagement activities, analyze value chains and market systems, economic patterns and livelihoods, assess market intervention and partnership opportunities and support implementation.
∎ Engage with national and local government officials, CSOs, the private sector, local partners, and other development partners and USAID implementers.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Demonstrated capacity to apply leadership and technical experience on projects that promote value-chain based market linkages and private sector engagement within economic patterns and livelihoods.
∎ Experience promoting livelihood interventions through skills training, alternative/additional income generation, micro-savings and micro-lending, youth employment, including market linkages.
∎ Knowledge of the interface between business, environment and ecosystem conservation that will support the project's achievement of key results in the program areas of biodiversity, sustainable landscapes and climate change.
∎ Ability to address and integrate gender responsive activities in project interventions.
∎ High level of fluency in English.
