Requirements:

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in sewing production in the garments industry.
• At least 2–3 years of experience as Line Chief / Line Supervisor / equivalent position in a woven garments factory.
• Strong practical knowledge of woven garment sewing operations, sewing machines, and production processes.
• Good understanding of line balancing, production targets, SMV, efficiency, productivity, and manpower utilization.
• Sound knowledge of garment quality requirements and common sewing defects.
• Ability to handle and control a large number of operators and helpers effectively.
• Good understanding of production planning, workflow, and target achievement.
• Ability to identify production bottlenecks and take immediate corrective action.
• Good communication, leadership, discipline, and team-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve production targets within deadlines.

Additional Requirements:

• Experience working with reputed international buyers will be an added advantage.
• Experience in high-volume woven garment production will be preferred.
• Must be proactive, responsible, disciplined, and result-oriented.
• Good knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, quality improvement, and productivity improvement will be an advantage.
• Candidates with strong practical sewing-line management experience will be given preference.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and control day-to-day production activities of the assigned sewing line to achieve planned production targets.
• Ensure smooth production flow from input to output while maintaining required quality and productivity standards.
• Allocate operators and helpers according to skill, operation requirements, and line balancing.
• Monitor hourly and daily production output against the planned target and take immediate corrective action for any shortfall.
• Ensure proper line balancing and effective utilization of manpower and machines.
• Monitor operator performance, machine utilization, production efficiency, absenteeism, and downtime.
• Work closely with IE to improve line efficiency, productivity, SMV performance, and production capacity.
• Ensure garments are produced according to approved samples, specifications, workmanship standards, and buyer requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality Inspectors and Supervisors to identify and rectify quality problems at the source.
• Minimize defects, rejection, alteration, rework, and production losses through effective supervision and corrective actions.
• Ensure proper feeding of cut panels, trims, accessories, and other required materials to the sewing line.
• Coordinate with Cutting, Quality, IE, Maintenance, Planning, and other relevant departments to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Monitor machine breakdowns and immediately communicate with the Maintenance team for necessary action.
• Ensure proper implementation of production SOPs, work instructions, 5S, safety requirements, and company policies.
• Monitor and maintain discipline, punctuality, attendance, and workplace behavior of workers under the assigned line.
• Guide, motivate, and develop operators and helpers to improve skill, productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Conduct regular briefings with operators and helpers regarding production targets, quality requirements, and work priorities.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices are maintained throughout the sewing line.
• Maintain accurate production records and submit hourly, daily, and other required production reports.
• Identify production bottlenecks and communicate issues to the Sewing Supervisor/Production Management for timely resolution.
• Ensure safe working practices and proper use of machines and equipment within the assigned production line.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management.
