Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily laundry operations, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding.

• Ensure timely collection, cleaning, and distribution of hotel linens, guest laundry, uniforms, and other fabrics.

• Monitor laundry staff performance, provide training, and schedule shifts to ensure adequate coverage.

• Inspect finished laundry for quality standards and take corrective action when necessary.

• Ensure laundry machines and equipment are properly maintained, reporting any breakdowns promptly.

• Maintain inventory of linens, uniforms, detergents, and other laundry supplies; prepare requisitions as needed.

• Implement hygiene, health, and safety standards in the laundry department.

• Handle guest complaints and special laundry requests professionally.

• Maintain proper records of laundry production, damaged items, and costs.

• Assist management in preparing reports, budgets, and cost-control measures for the department.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in hotel laundry operations or housekeeping (2–4 years, including supervisory experience).

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of laundry equipment operation and preventive maintenance.

• Ability to manage a team effectively and motivate staff.

• Attention to detail with a focus on quality control.

• Good communication skills (verbal and written).

• Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and reporting.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods.

• Ability to lift and carry laundry bundles (up to 20–25 kg).

• Comfortable working in a hot, humid laundry environment.
