Job Context:
∎ • HEED Bangladesh is Non-Government and non-political National Organization working in the field of Health, Education and Economic Development for more the 48(forty-eight) years. The Organization invites applications from the suitable candidates for it`s C-19 Project (Covid, TB, HIV, Malaria) in Sylhet, Habigonj and Moulvibazar Districts under GFATM Project as a sub-recipient NGO of BRAC. Nature of job for Field Organizer is Contractual.
∎ • One Year Contractual Appointment (With Possibility of Extension)
∎ • Start Date- As soon as possible
Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Receiving, labeling and analyzing samples (Cough etc.) Designing and executing laboratory testing according standard procedures.
∎ • Strengthen government health system for integrated TB control and prevention servidces.
∎ • Promote government ownership and stewardship for implementing TB services.
∎ • Maintain essential safety measures for infection control in the laboratory.
∎ • Maintain optimum standard in smearing and microscopy following the SOP and guidelines.
∎ • Ensure maintenance of microscope and other laboratory equipments as per the SOP and guidelines.
∎ • Maintain optimum standard of Gene X-pert site.
∎ • Support in EQA and slide rechecking.
∎ • Ensure hygienic disposal of waste materials.
∎ • Conduct 4 outreach smearing centre at the field level, in every month.
∎ • Ensure regular drugs and diagnostic supplies to volunteers/ DOT providers
∎ • Ensure DOT through follow up every patient and the DOT provider.
∎ • Maintain contact investigation register for active case finding s and refer presumptive cases to nearby diagnostic facility.
∎ • Ensure appropriate storage of drugs and logistics to maintain optimum quality.
∎ • Actively participate in monthly and quarterly meetings.
∎ • Assist govt. MT Lab at UHC lab, whenever necessary.
∎ • Participate in planing of laboratory set up.
∎ • Participate in quality assurance planning of the laboratory.
∎ • Plan and prepare annual and quarterly logistical requirements for the laboratory.
∎ • Ability to read microscopy and have good eyesight.
∎ • Willingness to conduct outreach smearing centre at the field.
∎ • Ability to work independently and in a team.
∎ • Other activities.
∎ • Maintain regular coordination with government and related stakeholders.
∎ • Check the randomized slides and provide the result as first controller ( for EQA Technician)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ • Good oral and written communication skill both in Bangla and English.
∎ • Good eyesight to read microscopy.
∎ • Good interpersonal and communication skill.
Salary: Tk. 29874 (Monthly)
