∎ We are currently seeking a Knowledge Management Officer for USAID`s Bandarban Agriculture and Nutrition Initiative (BANI) led by Helen Keller Intl.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Scope of Responsibilities:
∎ The Dhaka-based Knowledge Management Officer for USAID's Bandarban Agriculture and Nutrition Initiative (BANI) is responsible for supporting annual and monthly work planning, and annual, quarterly and monthly reporting for donor, government and institutional purposes. S/he will coordinate regularly with the Chief of Party and Directors of CLA & Coms, MEL, Programs, and Program Operations. S/he will maintain close communication with BANI's Bandarban-based Program Officer, intervention leads and technical staff to support development of success stories, programmatic reports, presentations and Facebook posts that highlight activities and results achievement. Additionally, the Knowledge Management Officer may provide interpretation during meetings and travel with senior management as needed. The Knowledge Management Officer will be responsible for ensuring sound documentation management of key program materials and agreement deliverables, ensuring that final soft and hard copies of all relevant documentation are maintained and distributed (as appropriate). S/he will help with document formatting and finalization of manuals, reports, and other products for publication. S/he will also contribute to writing materials highlighting program achievements and provide support for internal events - such as dissemination events, management meetings and workshops by preparing agenda, ensuring marking and branding requirements, assisting with logistics, taking minutes and following-up on pending action points. S/he will also help to organize high-level program visits, and meetings with government or donor, which includes preparation of necessary supporting material and reports.
∎ JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ Provide administrative support in meetings, workshops, and field visits (including organizing, preparing meeting minutes, workshop reporting, and follow-up)
∎ Assist in creation of power point presentations, drafting reports, translating documents, drafting communications materials, and providing interpretation as needed, including during meetings or while on travel
∎ Help organizing external events (like fairs, high-level visits, etc.), document the events (including capturing key discussion points, photographs etc.) and prepare reports
∎ Ensure file management including hard and soft copies are archived (online and/or intranet-based); index, file
∎ Provide support for the distribution of documentation/information to ensure various program documents are made available for internal communications and/or external audiences as appropriate
∎ Responsible for basic document publication packaging including formatting, simple graphics, table of contents, fonts, etc. and ensuring compliance with marking and branding requirements.
∎ Perform any tasks as assigned by supervisor
∎ ACCOUNTABILITY:
∎ The program officer is accountable to the Chief of Party for BANI. Timely implementation of program activity through effective planning, resource management are the main areas of assessing performance.

Additional Requirements:

∎ Minimum of three years of work-related experience providing administrative and/or communications support for publications, reporting and/or knowledge management is required.
∎ Capacity to provide interpretation (Bangla-English required)
∎ Experience coordinating and organizing meetings and/or special events is required.
∎ Experience using social media and understanding its use in professional settings is required.
∎ Experiencing formatting documents for publication or reporting purposes and preparing presentations for professional audiences, etc. is required.
∎ Willingness to travel to remote areas for work purposes is required
∎ Proficient knowledge of operating office suite software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required
∎ Ability to inscribe key information from technical reports and put them in plain English and Bangla, and edit is required.
∎ Experience working with USAID or other donor funded programs preferred
∎ Understanding of international development programming, especially in relation to food security activities, including knowledge of livelihoods, health and nutrition is preferable
∎ Must be a team player with mutual trust and understanding in a mixed team; capable to work under pressure, juggling with popping priorities and meet deadlines
∎ Excellent English and Bangla written and verbal communication skills.

To achieve this objective, HKI is working in partnership with CRS, CARITAS Bangladesh, five local implementing partners, individuals, communities, traditional institutions and the Government of Bangladesh to affect enduring positive change by addressing immediate needs while investing in the future of food security and resilience.
