Education:

The candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Agriculture/ Agronomy/ Soil Science/Horticulture/Crop Botany/ Agricultural Economics/ Agricultural Extension/ Entomology/ Plant Pathology/ Seed Technology, or Environmental Science, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or a second class/division, or an equivalent standard of academic excellence in all examinations.

• Experience in same field will be given preference

• Knowledge in diseases diagnosis, production plan

• Must have good communication

• Must have the skill of multitasking

• Excellent in report writing, budgeting, work prioritization, time management as well as the ability to adapt to work under pressure and challenging environment

• Prepare yearly budget with Farm Manager, Hybrid Rice, yearly action plan and ensure the implementation of the program

• Ensure on time seeding and produced robust seedlings

• Assist TA, Hybrid Rice to select suitable rice seed production block and supply quality inputs according to demand and ensuring the utilization

• Ensure transplanting within 7 to 10 days and ensure planting quality

• Ensure farmers training before transplanting, GA3 application and randomly check 10% plot

• Monitor proper GA3 application, supplementary pollination activities and others ongoing activities

• Ensure staff development through meeting, coaching, counseling, feedback, mentoring

• Ensure 100 % rouging and check the threshing floor and its quality

• Prepare a schedule for seed harvesting, threshing and drying

• Identify problems and give the solution and inform it to the Farm Manager by written

• Ensure process loss maximum 2 % of produced seeds

• Check the seeds sample before weighting to avoiding admixture

• Ensure production of minimum 98 % genetic purity, diseases and black spot free seeds

• Update all documents according to supplied register and format on time

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

• Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
