  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field is an advantage

  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience will be preferred, preferably in a hospital or high-volume food service environment.

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.

  • Familiarity with digital payment platforms (e.g., bKash, Nagad) is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of honesty, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary: -

The Junior Officer / Officer (Cash) – Cafeteria is responsible for managing all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and ensuring excellent customer service. The incumbent also works closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operation of the cafeteria, contributing to a hygienic and welcoming food service environment for hospital staff, patients, and visitors.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate the cash register system and process all cash, card, and mobile payment transactions accurately.

  • Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers as necessary.

  • Maintain accurate records of daily sales, transactions, and collections.

  • Greet and interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner; provide information about menu items and pricing.

  • Assist in monitoring inventory and coordinate with kitchen staff regarding stock requirements.

  • Ensure the cashier counter and surrounding area are clean, well-organized, and compliant with hygiene standards.

  • Adhere to hospital policies and protocols regarding hygiene, food safety, and customer service.

  • Report discrepancies, transaction issues, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.

  • Collaborate effectively with cafeteria staff during peak hours to ensure efficient service.

  • Perform daily cash reconciliation and submit all collections to the designated authority.

  • Provide additional support in general cafeteria operations as directed by the Supervisor or Food & Beverage Manager
