Education:
    • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
    • Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS)

Valid registration with the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in performing independent Phaco Surgeries is highly preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume eye care unit.

  • Strong interpersonal and counseling skills to communicate effectively with patients.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Provide extensive outpatient (OPD) consultations and inpatient ophthalmology services.

  • Perform routine and complex ophthalmic procedures, with a strong focus on Phaco Surgery (Cataract) and lens implantation.

  • Utilize modern diagnostic equipment (such as Optical Coherence Tomography, Slit Lamps, and Fundus Photography).

  • Handle emergency ocular trauma cases and offer rigorous post-operative management.

  • Collaborate closely with our professional medical staff to ensure world-class care standardizations.

  • Maintain a professional environment that respects patient privacy and core hospital guidelines.

  • Assess and examine patients in order to make a diagnosis.

  • Do occasional ward rounds (most ophthalmic patients have day surgery and don`t stay in hospital overnight).

  • Operate equipment such as ophthalmoscopes, slit lamps etc.

  • Provide advice and reassurance to patients and family members.

  • Educate patients to help them understand their medical condition.

  • Handle legal documentation for the certification of patients as blind or partially sighted.

  • Support health promotion and disease prevention activities.
