Job Responsibilities

System & Data Management:

Accurate input and approval of daily incoming/outgoing shipment and inventory data in the ERP system.

Investigation of root causes for system vs. physical inventory variances and execution of corrective actions.

Inventory Optimization & Operational Management:

Setting safety stock levels and monitoring reorder points (ROP).

Identifying dead stock (slow-moving inventory) and products near expiry, and issuing alerts to relevant departments.

Physical Inventory Audits / Stock Counts:

Planning, leading on-site execution, and preparing variance reports for monthly and annual physical inventory counts.

Process Improvement:

Proposing system and process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and accuracy, including warehouse location management (e.g., barcode integration).

Required Skills & Experience (Must Have)

Work Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in inventory control or warehouse management within manufacturing, chemical, or consumer goods industries.

System Proficiency:

Hands-on experience operating ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or local ERPs) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).

Practical Excel skills (ability to perform inventory data analysis and reconciliation using VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables).

Chemical & Product Management Knowledge:

Practical experience with FIFO (First-In, First-Out) operations, batch/lot tracking, and expiration date management.

Experience planning and executing physical stock counts (Cycle Counts / Annual Inventory Verification).

Preferred Skills & Experience (Nice to Have)

Experience working at a Japanese company (understanding of 5S, Kaizen, and Ho-Ren-So / business reporting practices).

Knowledge of hazardous material and chemical handling (understanding of Bangladesh environmental/safety standards and MSDS).

Experience participating in ERP implementation or migration projects (ability to handle data migration and operational adoption during system overhauls).

Knowledge of customs and bonded warehouse operations (highly valued if importing raw materials through Bangladesh EPZ or duty-free bonded routes).

Conversational or business English proficiency.
