Job Context:
∎ The prime responsibility of the Internal Auditor is to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance of processes. The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and risk management.
∎ Duration: 3 years (possibility of extension)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for conducting Internal Audits and overall function of the internal control unit
∎ Prepare audit reports with necessary observations and recommendations for the management
∎ Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
∎ Develop, implement and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local law and best practice
∎ Identify the financial risk of the organization and offer recommendations to reduce risk
∎ Improve the accounting and financial record-keeping processes
∎ Identify discrepancies, risk and other issues and recommend corrective measures
∎ Assess the management of risk throughout the organization
∎ Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data and build strategy to improve control mechanism
∎ Assist management to improve mechanism of internal controls
∎ Analyze, summarize and combine the findings of audits
∎ Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
∎ Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards
∎ Maintain liaise with external auditors and ensure smooth audit completion for the organization
Additional Requirements:
∎ Seven years of experience with at least three years in a leadership role
∎ Excellent G Suite skills (including Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive)
∎ Ability to audit accounting standards, principles, and practices in non-profit organizations
∎ Ability to analyze large sets of data, find patterns, and disseminate findings
∎ Excellent investigative and interpretive skills
∎ Excellent writing skills with impeccable grammar cognition
∎ Critical thinking and problem solving
∎ Ability to build rapport with different stakeholders
∎ Attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy
∎ Teamwork
∎ Communication
