Job Context:
∎ PEOPLE Project Background: Bangladesh Textile and Apparel manufacturing companies being part of one of the most complex and risky supply chain is suffering for lowest profitability. In recent time most of the textile and apparel companies are running with poor capacity utilization as well. Bangladesh has one of the biggest `Human Capital` in the world working in the textile and apparel industry which could generate much more values if have been better nurtured. Keeping this in mind Bangladesh Textile Today has developed PEOPLE project after an intensive research to build proficient and knowledgeable people related to the textile industry such a way so that it can meet the demands of unpredictable changes and make the desire growth sustainable in a cost effective way. `PEOPLE` is an innovative awareness program to be self-reliance and sustainable in the industry to Increase profitability by increasing performance of mid-level management by building `Effective Organization`.
∎ PEOPLE Project Purpose & Scope: PEOPLE project will focus on two major aspects namely `Profitability` through waste reduction, quality and productivity improvement and `Organizational Development` through building a functional Transformation Team (Change Making Team) inside the factory. The innovativeness of this project is the company itself will have a team which will be able to steer the transformation. At the end of the project the companies engaged in PEOPLE will be able to generate Human Capital Statement in regular interval. The change making team will set departmental goals and document the achievements and do training need assessment to achieve the goals. The project will produce several reports and stories and publish them in local and international media.
∎ Bangladesh Textile Today is looking for a dynamic, young, talented, enthusiastic, self-motivated, responsible and integrated Industrial Engineer for its PEOPLE Project Consultant Pool. The IE Consultant will report to the General Manager, HR & Strategy under the leadership of Project Director of PEOPLE Project.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The IE Consultant will work within the PEOPLE project consultant pool to increase profitability and to install Effective Organization at PEOPLE project Partner Factories.
∎ Create mechanism to curb excessive Over Time
∎ Design for best use of man, machine and material
∎ Find ways to reduce operation and factory costs
∎ Develop practical scenario of the PROCESSES involved in operation
∎ Create ways to identify the critical operations & solutions well in advance
∎ Improve ways to Individual efficiency, productivity, problem solving method for optimum output
∎ Introduce best practices to improve productivity of Method study, Capacity study, production study.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s) experience in IPE, Lean Manufacturing, Process Design & Development in Textile & Garment Industry.
∎ Excellent in analytical mind and proactive to identify problems and preparing solutions.
∎ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
∎ Enthusiasm to take additional responsibilities
∎ Well applicable analytical abilities
∎ Data and result driven mindset
∎ Presentation skill to conduct training/ meeting among the production concerned helper to above.

Salary: Negotiable
