∎ Duration: Duration of the contract will be 04 plus years

∎ SRS is set to implement the BIJOYEE a five-year project supported by CARE Bangladesh, in collaboration with a consortium of youth-led and youth-serving organizations. BIJOYEE`s primary objective is to empower youth, especially young women and socially marginalized individuals, who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET). The project aims to equip them with market-oriented soft and life skills, resources, and social capital to secure green and gainful employment, fostering significant social and environmental impact. BIJOYEE will focus on strengthening the youth ecosystem, providing organizational development support to national and grassroots youth organizations, offering incubation and start-up assistance to young entrepreneurs, and promoting youth-inclusive policies and planning. The project will be executed in urban and per-urban areas, encompassing seventeen districts, with the strategic partnership of the Department of Youth Development (DYD) and relevant government and private sectors.
∎ SRS is welcoming applications from young Bangladeshi professionals for the role of Inclusion Officer. The position is located in Dhaka and reports directly to the Inclusion Lead. The Inclusion Officer`s primary responsibilities include but not limited to mapping youth-specific and youth-relevant policies, establishing an inclusion mapping system, conducting and facilitating inclusion training, and collaborating with other project partners. Additionally, the Inclusion Officer will closely cooperate with the Executive Director to facilitate project activities.
∎ The position is in Dhaka based, with consistent field visits in the project areas.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ II. Responsibilities and Tasks:
∎ Responsibility - 01: Developing and Implementing Inclusion Strategies
∎ Create and refine strategies for fostering inclusion within the project activities and plan
∎ Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure diverse voices
∎ Advocate for policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in alignment with project goals and objectives
∎ Engage with community organizations and employers to enhance diversity and inclusion efforts
∎ Build partnerships with external organizations, employers, and networks to advance inclusion goals
∎ Responsibility - 02:Training and Education
∎ Develop inclusive training materials and educational programs to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)
∎ Conduct engaging training sessions for NEET and EET, fostering a culture of inclusion and awareness
∎ Develop assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training, gathering feedback for continuous improvement
∎ Generate educational resources, such as guides, toolkits, and online content, to support DEI learning and youth development
∎ Collaborate with HR, leadership, and external partners to ensure DEI training aligns with organizational goals and broader industry trends
∎ Responsibility - 03:Promoting a Diverse and Inclusive Work Environment
∎ Develop and implement strategies to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace culture in alignment with organizational goals
∎ Review and revise policies and procedures to ensure they promote diversity and inclusion at all levels
∎ Collaborate with HR to develop inclusive recruitment practices and ensure that new employees are introduced to the organization's diversity and inclusion values
∎ Provide guidance and support in addressing diversity-related issues and conflicts within the workplace
∎ Foster relationships with external organizations and communities to promote diversity and inclusion both internally and externally
∎ Responsibility - 04: Reviewing Policies and Practices
∎ Review/Analyze existing policies, procedures, and practices to identify policy gaps, areas of improvement in terms of diversity and inclusion
∎ Develop and present recommendations for policy enhancements and procedural changes to the policy makers
∎ Assist in the creation of new policies and guidelines that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
∎ Research industry best practices and benchmark against peer organizations
∎ Collaborate with training teams to ensure policies related to diversity and inclusion are integrated into training programs
∎ Responsibility - 05: Engaging with Communities and Employers
∎ Establish and nurture partnerships with local communities, employers, NGO's, and community leaders to promote inclusion initiatives
∎ Collaborate with employers to create inclusive hiring practices and workplace cultures that value diversity
∎ Conduct assessments to understand the unique needs and challenges of the community and employers regarding inclusion
∎ Create resources and toolkits to assist employers in implementing diversity and inclusion practices
∎ Advocate for diversity and inclusion within the community and among employers, emphasizing the business benefits and social responsibility
∎ III. Reporting:
∎ Inclusion Officer will report directly to the Inclusion Lead and maintain both horizontal and vertical connections with the Executive Director and other colleagues within a matrix management structure.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Minimum 03 years of experience, of which one year in the same context.
∎ Extensive knowledge of Bangladesh's governance and policy landscape, with a focus on the social and economic context of young people not in employment, education, or training (NEET).
∎ Proficiency in policy analysis, power analysis, and accountability tools such as e-score card, social audit, and opinion surveys.
∎ Proven track record of engaging with private sector stakeholders, diverse youth networks, government officials and civil society networks.
∎ Strong English writing skills for policy papers, as well as excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Salary:
∎ The highly qualified candidate will receive a competitive compensation package of up to fifty thousand (BDT 50,000). Additionally, SRS will provide supplementary benefits in line with project support.
