∎ Implementing programs and developing partnerships in over 20 countries today, BSF supports local initiatives of libraries creation to promote education, access to information and culture and the conservation of cultural heritage. Through creating and reinforcing libraries, training librarians, donating books when relevant, supporting the local publishing industry, developing library networks and creating innovative programs for the promotion of access to education and information, LWB/BSF actively promotes access to knowledge throughout the world.

∎ The project
∎ After assessing the needs of refugees and host populations in the Cox`s Bazar district, BSF launched its activities in 2018, in partnership with the International Organization for Migrations (IOM) in the Rohingya refugee camps.

∎ Today, 10 Ideas Box, multimedia centers, and 45 mobile Ideas Cube kits for outreach activities, are implemented with the following objectives:
∎ --> empower youth and women through an access to informal education and vocational trainings
∎ --> provide a quality access to information and cultural resources
∎ --> foster social cohesion and strengthen communities` resilience through the promotion of community interaction and participation

∎ Based on the assessment of needs, BSF curates physical and digital content to be adapted to the future users (age, gender, languages...) and objectives of each project. It builds the capacity of its partners to use this content and implement activities for added quality and impact of their actions.

∎ The Ideas Box Advisor is at the heart of the BSF expertise to ensure that each project addresses precisely the needs and expectations of users and partners.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Within the implementation of BSF projects, she/he oversees selecting the most adapted content for each project, training and supporting partners to build their capacity and enhance the quality and impact of their actions.
∎ She/he is under the direct supervision of the Program manager and works closely with the Technical Advisor.
∎ The responsibilities of the Ideas Box advisor include:
∎ Project Design
∎ she/he participates in the design and elaboration of new projects in support to the program manager and coordinator.
∎ Content and Activity design
∎ she/he designs and implements the content, and facilitates needs assessment for new projects based on the guidelines provided
∎ in close collaboration with the technical advisors, she/he builds the content strategy based on the results of the needs assessment, which will support the content selection, and which will be submitted to each project partner
∎ she/he identifies sources, and selects all physical and digital content to be displayed in each project, based on the content strategy
∎ she/he designs and documents the activities to support each project team, in close collaboration with the Content and facilitation advisor
∎ Training and follow up
∎ she/he designs, organizes, and implements the training of the partners' field facilitation team on the tools and methodologies of BSF
∎ she/he supports the field facilitation teams in implementing quality activities (activity and event planning, activity design, team dynamics...)
∎ she/he identifies the capacity-building needs of field facilitation teams, designs, and implements capacity-building plans accordingly
∎ she/he builds the terms of reference for monitoring visits and organizes them accordingly
∎ she/he facilitates a community of practice around BSF projects, amongst partners' field teams
∎ Partnership relationships
∎ she/he participates in coordination meeting with partners
∎ she/he mobilizes partners in the field for their participation to the projects
∎ she/he arranges and coordinates with appropriate authority to arrange regular monitoring visits
∎ she/he shares meeting minutes with BSF team after attending any meeting
∎ she/he supports with the redaction of the internal and external reports to the donors by the deadline
∎ Volunteer Management
∎ she/he participates in coordinating the BSF volunteers
∎ she/he would assess the needs of the volunteers and arrange capacity building training accordingly
∎ she/he plans and distribute weekly schedule for the community volunteers
∎ she/he coordinates volunteer payments
∎ Monitoring and evaluation
∎ she/he implements and trains the field team to the monitoring and evaluation tools
∎ she/he ensures the collection of data with the partners, when necessary, by creating and/or adapting existing templates
∎ she/he gathers qualitative data (interviews, focus groups, etc.)
∎ she/he selects and stores pictures for communication purposes which includes taking consent from the participants /their respective parents
∎ Communication
∎ actively participates in weekly coordination and team meetings
∎ prepares presentations for HQ or partners according to the needs
∎ represent BSF and its values toward partners and potential journalist
∎ The Ideas Box Advisor might be appointed to any other duty/ responsibilities relevant for the work of the mission in Bangladesh by the Program Manager and/or the Head of Mission.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ --> Fluent in English and Bangla
∎ --> Knowing Chittagongian or Rohingya language is an important added value

Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Status: Renewable, 6-month fixed term contract, extendable Beginning: ASAP Location: based in Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh Salary and benefits: based on experience and BSF local office salary scale
