Job Responsibilities:
∎ **Documentation:
∎ Be familiar with and promote understanding and use of all IBPYP documents/publications
∎ Ensure that copies of IB documents/publication pertaining to the PYP section of the school are available to all staff members
∎ Establish and maintain a record of completed IB Primary Years Programme Planners;
∎ Publish the school’s Programme of Inquiry
∎ Lead the process of developing or reviewing on a regular basis the school’s curriculum documents, including the Programme of Inquiry and scope and sequence documents
∎ Ensure that appropriate policies are formulated for teaching and learning and for assessment
∎ Ensure that agreements are developed that support access to the program for all students
∎ Ensure the development of an action plan by following the instrucstion on the public website (http://ibo.org/become) under “Becoming an IB World School”
∎ Maintain the archive of PYP records from one year to the next, including the exhibition
∎ Ensure that the documents entitled General Regulations: Primary Years Programme is supplied to parents/legal guardians (available through the IB public website, IBIS and IB HeadNet)
∎ Ensure that the documents entitled Rules for IB World School: Primary Years Programme is shared with relevant staff (available through the IB public website, IBIS and IB HeadNet)
∎ Establishes regular monitoring of students’ progress in their IBO subjects, and keep accurate records of student progress
∎ Advises and assist in formulating school policy
∎ Oversees curriculum review and facilitate curriculum development around the themes of internationalism, holistic awareness, communication and cultural understanding
∎ **Professional Development:
∎ Ensure that staff members are made aware of professional development opportunities and receive requisite PYP training and support
∎ Make recommendations regarding professional development opportunities on and off campus
∎ Keep a record of workshop attendance and school visits to ensure equality of opportunity to identify ongoing needs, and to complete authorization and programme evaluation forms
∎ Assist teams or individuals in developing and documenting units of inquiry and individual student inquiries
∎ Support the teachers responsible for, and the students involved in, the PYP exhibition in the final year of the programme according to the Exhibition guidelines of IBO
∎ Attends workshops and conferences as appropriate
∎ Includes themselves in the selection of new members of staff, and then to work with the Principal to introduce and orientate them to the program
∎ **Resource Management:
∎ Make recommendations for the purchase of suitable resources to support the implementation of the PYP
∎ Be responsible for the establishment of an inventory of resources to facilitate efficient collaboration
∎ Advise the Principal on program-related expenses and keep track of these
∎ **Communication:
∎ Ensure that all requirements of the IB concerning the implementation of the PYP are adhered to
∎ Set up systems for communication and collaboration among all staff members involved in implementing the programme
∎ Conduct parent information sessions
∎ Publish articles pertaining to the programme in the school newsletter
∎ Circulate all relevant information received from the IB and ensure that teachers and other staff are kept up to date with current developments in the Primary Years Programme
∎ Maintains communication with the Principal, Vice Principal, Administration, faculty and parents regarding information about the program. This will include holding regular minute meetings
∎ Prepare and submit any documentation required for authorization and evaluation
∎ Respond to requests for information (for example, questionnaires) from the IB
∎ Provide a liaison between the school and the IB
∎ Recommend exemplary teachers to participate in curriculum development meetings
∎ Maintains IBO publications and school records in regard to the IB programs
∎ Ensures that the school meets all IBO regulations and deadlines
∎ Establishes a complete record of IBO publications on file
∎ Contributes to marketing the IBO program, within and outside the school
∎ Prepare effectively for any evaluation visits
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age limit: upto 55 years

∎ Having experience of evaluation visit will get preference
∎ Proven experience as a pedagogical leader within a PYP school environment
∎ Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team
∎ An exemplary teaching background in inquiry-based learning and the ability to act as a pedagogical leader of the PYP program in the school
∎ Excellent communication skills in English – both spoken and written
∎ Experience working in a bilingual environment is an advantage
∎ Expatriate candidate can apply
