Skills Required: Firefighter,HSSE
Additional Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in safety management, environmental science, or related discipline.
NEBOSH certificate preferrable
Professional membership if applicable
Experience in firefighting
Knowledge on safety inspections
Understanding of chemical hazards and hazardous materials
Good knowledge on rescue techniques
Responsibilities & Context:
Actively monitor operational, maintenance, and emergency work orders executed within the terminal. Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) & ensure permit to work (PTW) while identifying and potential hazards; align supervisors accordingly.
Regularly monitor and investigate HSSE matters which may include but not limited to:
o Site safety to ensure adherence to established safety standards across all operations.
o Full PPE compliance by internal and external stakeholders
o Adherence to ISPS & IMDG code
o accidents, incidents & near miss. Report based on relevancy.
o Vessel upon arrival at the berth to facilitate safe and efficient operations.
o Hygiene standards of terminal spaces, canteen/pantries
o Quality assurance of drinking water
Support to implement security measures of the entire terminal, including containers, cargo, and other assets.
Implement appropriate HSSE signage throughout the terminal to promote awareness and safety protocols. Keeps notice boards updated with relevant safety information. Ensures safety signage is clearly posted and understood by all users.
Support HSSE supervisor with regular toolbox talks to educate personnel on safety procedures and address any deviations from safety standards.
Conduct safety induction programs and ensure all internal and external stakeholders including vendors/contractors entering the terminal complete mandatory safety training.
Act as the Substitute for HSE supervisor on occasions as required.
