Additional Requirements:

  • Age At least 18 years
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate is essential.

  • Diploma in Medical related field is desirable.

  • Vaccination or training organized/recognized by MoH is desirable.

  • Fluency in reading, writing, and understanding Bengali is essential.

  • Speaking and understanding Rohingya dialect is essential.

  • English language is a plus.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context: Assisting in the nursing activities with hospitalized patients, according to nurses and doctors' prescription, universal hygiene standards and MSF protocols, standards, and procedures in order to ensure the delivery of quality medical care for patients.

This is a temporary position for 6 months, effective from May 2026.

• As directed assisting the nurse in organizing and providing care and treatments to patients, always respecting, the rules of hygiene, safety, comfort, dignity, medical secret and patient confidentiality. As requested, responding to nurse’s requirements in case of an emergency.

• Participating in the surveillance and monitoring of the patient and reporting to the nurse any relevant information. Compensating patients’ possible lack of autonomy by assisting and helping them in feeding, personal hygiene, movements, and general comfort

• Reporting any problem arising in the care unit, especially the loss, robbery or damage of equipment or medicines.

• Ensuring cleanliness of his/her working environment (including facilities, material, linen, equipment, and carrying out the sorting and disposal of waste)

• Working together with the nurses, cleaners, and caretakers.

• Participating actively in the hospital platform (meetings, committee,.), trainings and in the basic health education sessions

• Participating in any other related activities as requested by the line manager.

• Performing minor maintenance and cleaning of the biomedical equipment following user manual and protocols. Alerting the supervisor in case of malfunctioning of any device.

• As directed by the nurse in the health facility, always respecting, the rules of hygiene, safety, comfort, dignity, medical secret and patient confidentiality. Giving response to nurse’s requirements in case of an emergency.

• Reporting to the nurse any health relevant information from the patients.

• Reporting any problem arising in the care unit, especially the loss, robbery or damage of medical equipment or medicines.

• Ensuring cleanliness of his/her working environment (including facilities, material, linen, equipment, and carrying out the sorting and disposal of waste)

• Working together with the nurses, cleaners, and caretakers

• Participate in trainings and in the basic health education sessions.

• Performing minor maintenance and cleaning of the biomedical equipment following instruction. Alerting the supervisor in case of malfunctioning of any device.

• Pre-screening of the patients arriving in the health facility according to the strategy when there is a need (as instructed)

• Informing patients of how the service functions and the modalities to be followed and refer to HP when more information is needed.

• Helping the nurse to do malnutrition screening by taking the MUAC, oedema and Z-score.

• Carrying out care delegated tasks by the nurse after confirmation of the nurse team supervisor.

• Insuring patient security during medical acts by following IPC rules (wearing PPE, correct waste management in the department,

• Helping to position patients correctly during medical acts.

• Watching over adequate liquid intake

• Informing the nurse in case of changes in health status

• Reassuring and informing patients and the persons accompanying them throughout their facility visit.

• Setting up health education sessions in collaboration with the HP according to needs

• EPI program, including routine and vaccinations campaigns which may involve registration of patients, pushing of vaccines through intra-muscular route, proper disposal of vaccine waste as per guideline and support in report documentations.

• Surveillance: collection and compilation of regular clinic data as per delegation.

• Cleaning and decontaminating used instruments according to the protocol in use.

• Ensuring they are sent to the sterilization service/recuperating and storing instruments already sterilized.

• Transporting samples destined for the laboratory and collecting the results on a daily basis

• Getting vaccines from MoH for the EPI program.

• Reporting to supervisor when rupture or changes notified by the MoH.

• Helping the nurses with receiving the pharmacy order and help organise in the departments.

  • Cleaning of the biomed materials, inform the supervisor when materials need to be repaired.
