Responsibilities & Context:
  1. Provide academic, administrative, and instructional leadership for the secondary school.

  2. Ensure effective implementation of the national curriculum and examination policies (JSC/SSC or equivalent).

  3. Supervise classroom instruction and evaluate teachers’ performance regularly.

  4. Prepare academic calendars, class routines, and examination schedules.

  5. Monitor students’ academic results, discipline, attendance, and overall development.

  6. Ensure proper conduct of internal examinations and public examinations as per board rules.

  7. Maintain coordination with the Education Board, DEO, UEO, and other authorities.

  8. Manage school budget, government grants, and development funds transparently.

  9. Maintain school records, EMIS data, and official correspondence.

  10. Ensure compliance with government rules, safety guidelines, and inspection requirements.

  11. Organize co-curricular, cultural, and sports activities.

  12. Strengthen parent–teacher communication and community involvement.

  13. Promote moral education, discipline, and a positive learning environment.

  14. Oversee student admission, transfer, registration, and disciplinary actions.
