Job Title
Head of Security (Construction Sites & Corporate Security)
Job Purpose
Lead SEL’s end-to-end security function across head office, project/construction sites, land assets, sales offices (if any), warehouses/stores, and staff safety.
Key Responsibilities
1) Security Strategy & Governance
Develop and implement SEL’s Security Policy, Site Security Standards, and SOPs (access control, visitor management, patrol, key control, asset protection, emergency response).
Prepare annual security budget and cost optimization plan without compromising risk coverage.
2) Construction Site Security & Asset Protection
Design and deploy site security plans for each project (perimeter, entry/exit controls, night security, material protection, machinery/equipment security).
Prevent theft, pilferage, vandalism, trespass, and unauthorized construction-material movement.
3) Manpower Management (Guards & Supervisors)
Lead hiring/rostering/discipline of security team (in-house and/or outsourced).
Run regular briefings, drills, and training (site conduct, emergency response, reporting discipline).
4) Incident Management & Investigations
Own the incident command for security events (theft, conflict, assault, intrusion, threats, extortion attempts, site unrest).
Conduct investigations, preserve evidence, coordinate with Legal/HR, and prepare case files and recommendations.
Liaise with law enforcement and local administration for timely resolution; support FIR/GD processes when required.
5) Security Systems & Technology
Oversee CCTV coverage plans, control room operations, access control (biometric/ID), alarms, perimeter lighting, and guard tour systems.
Coordinate with IT/Admin vendors to ensure uptime, storage retention, and controlled access to footage.
6) Land/Property & High-Risk Area Management
Strengthen security controls for land sites (boundary demarcation support, guarding strategy, local liaison, encroachment risk mitigation).
Candidate Profile (Preferred: Retired Police / Armed Forces)
Essential Requirements
Recently retired Police / Armed Forces / Ansar / BGB / similar disciplined service with strong field leadership exposure.
Proven experience in site security / industrial security / asset protection / investigations.
Strong command over incident handling, reporting, stakeholder management, and team discipline.
Ability to operate across multiple sites and travel as required.
Education
Minimum Bachelor’s degree. Equivalent experience from service background may be considered.
Experience (Guideline)
12+ years in disciplined service and/or security leadership roles; experience supervising teams and managing sensitive incidents.
