Responsibilities & Context:

Job Purpose

The Head of Registry is responsible for leading and managing all academic administrative and registry functions at Essex School of Business. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of student records, academic processes, and regulatory compliance. The position plays a critical role in supporting academic operations, enhancing student lifecycle management, and maintaining high standards of governance aligned with institutional and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Registry Leadership & Management
    Lead the Registry team to ensure effective delivery of all academic administrative services.

  • Student Records & Data Management
    Oversee the maintenance, accuracy, confidentiality, and security of student records and academic data.

  • Academic Administration
    Manage processes related to admissions, enrolment, examinations, progression, graduation, and certification.

  • Policy Development & Compliance
    Develop and implement registry policies and procedures in line with institutional and regulatory requirements.

  • Examinations & Assessment Coordination
    Supervise the planning, execution, and integrity of examinations and assessment processes.

  • Quality Assurance Support
    Support academic quality assurance processes, audits, and accreditation requirements.

  • Systems & Process Improvement
    Drive the implementation and optimisation of student information systems and registry workflows.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    Work closely with academic departments, senior management, and external bodies to ensure seamless academic operations.

  • Reporting & Data Analysis
    Generate reports and provide insights to support institutional decision-making and compliance.
