Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Business Management or a related field from a recognised institution in the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada

• Minimum 3+ years of teaching or relevant industry experience in Business Management or a related discipline

• Experience in curriculum development and student assessment practices

• Exposure to international academic environments is desirable

Job Purpose

The Lecturer in Business Management is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, supporting student learning, and contributing to the academic development of Essex School of Business. The role involves designing and delivering engaging course content, maintaining academic standards, and fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. The Lecturer will also contribute to curriculum development, student mentoring, and academic quality assurance processes in line with international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching & Learning Delivery
  Plan and deliver lectures, seminars, and workshops in Business Management and related disciplines using innovative teaching methods.

• Curriculum Development
  Contribute to the design, review, and enhancement of course materials to ensure relevance, rigour, and alignment with global standards.

• Student Support & Engagement
  Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support to students to enhance their learning experience and outcomes.

• Assessment & Evaluation
  Develop and mark assessments, provide constructive feedback, and ensure fair and transparent evaluation processes.

• Academic Quality Assurance
  Adhere to institutional policies and maintain academic integrity and quality standards.

• Research & Professional Development
  Engage in research, scholarly activities, and continuous professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness.

• Administrative Responsibilities
  Participate in academic meetings, committees, and contribute to departmental initiatives.
