SAE-A is looking for an ideal candidate for the position of Head of Operation (Factory In-charge) in Egypt.

Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Chairman/Managing Director, the General Manager – Production will be responsible for end-to-end production leadership across all units. This role requires a hands-on, floor-driven leader who can balance strict discipline with approachable management. The GM will directly oversee production planning, execution, line balancing, mechanics, and quality control to ensure shipment deadlines, buyer compliance, and operational efficiency are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Leadership & Execution
Lead and manage Sewing, Cutting, Finishing, and Mechanics functions to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets
Drive line balancing, floor discipline, and bottleneck elimination through real-time decision-making
Ensure high levels of efficiency, quality, and timely delivery aligned with buyer requirements
Monitor machinery maintenance, utilization, and coordinate preventive measures with Mechanics team
Planning & Coordination:
Collaborate with Merchandising, IE, and Planning teams for smooth execution of production plans
Ensure proper manpower allocation, skill development, and training initiatives
Oversee production cost optimization while meeting strict shipment deadlines
Compliance & Quality Standards:
Maintain buyer compliance with all standards.
Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on the production floor.
Ensure strict adherence to quality protocols and minimize rework/rejection rates.
People Leadership:
Provide firm yet approachable leadership, discipline with team motivation
Lead, supervise, and mentor AGMs, Managers, Supervisors, and Mechanics team heads
Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and teamwork across production units
Show a balance between being firm/strict and approachable/friendly in leadership style
Reporting & Control:
Prepare and present daily/weekly/monthly production reports to top management
Track and monitor key KPIs such as Efficiency, On-Time Shipment (OTIF), and Defects per Hundred Units (DHU)
Take immediate corrective actions in case of deviations or delays
