Responsibilities & Context:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth of electrical switches, sockets by developing strong dealer, distributor, and project networks. The role focuses on market expansion, key account management, team leadership, and achieving revenue targets across assigned territories.
· Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets
· Identify new markets, dealers, distributors, and project opportunities
· Promote switches, sockets, and electrical accessories to contractors, electricians, builders, and architects
· Manage channel sales through distributors, retailers, and project sales
· Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and key accounts
· Appoint new channel partners and ensure proper market coverage
· Resolve channel conflicts and ensure healthy stock rotation
· Monitor competitor activity and market trends
· Lead, train, and motivate the sales team (Sales Executives / Area Sales Officers)
· Set targets, review performance, and conduct regular sales meetings
· Support field staff with joint visits and negotiations
· Handle project inquiries from residential, commercial, and industrial segments
· Coordinate with builders, consultants, and electrical contractors.
· Ensure timely quotation, order execution, and payment collection.
· Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and market intelligence
· Track collections and ensure adherence to credit policies
· Coordinate with production, logistics, and marketing teams
· Strong knowledge of electrical switches, sockets.
· Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
· Ability to manage distributors, dealers, and large projects
· Leadership and team-handling capability
· Result-oriented with strong analytical and planning skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
· MBA in Sales/Marketing is an advantage
· 5–10 years of sales experience in electrical switches, sockets.
· Proven track record in channel sales and project sales.
