∎ BSc in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc will be a plus

Job Context:
∎ Bengal Islami Life Insurance Limited is one of the leading 4th generation Life Insurance Companies in Bangladesh. To strengthen its IT team for ensuring quality financial services and upscale its digitalization of business operation, Bengal Islami Life Insurance is looking for an experienced IT Head to manage and maintain information technology systems and networks, performing both technical and administrative tasks.
∎ Job Location: Head Office, Motijheel, Dhaka.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee all technology operations (Network security and software development) and evaluate them according to established goals.
∎ Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the upper management.
∎ Analyse the requirements of all departments tom determine their technology needs.
∎ Design and develop software for business operation.
∎ Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software.
∎ Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
∎ Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report upper management.
∎ Coordinate IT staff and supervise them to provide guidance.
∎ Control budget and report on expenditure.
∎ Assist in building relationship with vendors and creating cost efficient contracts.
∎ Cary out other responsibilities assigned by the management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Required Qualification and Experience:
∎ At least 2 years' experience as head of IT or similar role preferably in life insurance
∎ Sound understanding of web application and network security
∎ Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
∎ Experience in controlling information technology budget
∎ Excellent organizational and leadership skills
∎ Outstanding communication ability
∎ Technical skills:
∎ At least 2+ years experience of relevant work experience
∎ At least 2+ experience on .NET and MSSQL, Modern JavaScript
∎ 2+ years of experience in a leadership position managing IT infrastructure
∎ Other Skills & Qualities:
∎ Leadership, interpersonal skill is needed
∎ Able to work independently with ability to handle multiple tasks.
∎ Should possess good communication and Interpersonal skills.
∎ Be an enthusiastic, honest and forward thinker
∎ 'Can do' - positive attitude and proactive
