∎ Job Summary:
∎ ActionAid Bangladesh seeks an experienced, inspiring, and hands-on fundraising leader. S/he will identify new and progressive sources of funding building on ActionAid`s existing funding sources from both institutional donors and sponsors.
∎
∎ Reporting to the Country Director, the ideal candidate will build a thriving fundraising operation to support ActionAid Bangladesh`s multi-years strategy. The Head of Fundraising is a key position within ActionAid Bangladesh, with responsibility not only for income generation also contribute as an active member of the Senior Management Team.
∎ Target and Timeline:
∎ The incumbent will work on agreed targets and meet timeline delivering with the expected professionalism and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organisational Development, Strategy and Communications:
∎ As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) the Head of Fundraising will contribute to the overall development of the organisation;
∎ Develop/update the Fundraising Strategy and Operational Plan that meets the strategic requirements of the Country Strategy Paper (CSP) in consultation with the Country Director;
∎ Responsible for donor communication thereby identify key priorities, channels, audiences and messages to establish an appropriate organisation image to donor community in line with ActionAid International values and culture;
∎ Ensure the adequate quality (value for money, sustainability, innovation and scalability as appropriate) in the developed project proposals are in alignment with Human Right Based Approach (HRBA) and CSP V of AAB;
∎ Relationship Management:
∎ Develop and manage high-quality relationships with fundraisers, supporters, donors and private sectors. Internally will nurture and collaborate with fundraising colleagues, senior management and trustees;
∎ Develop and manage strategic consortium partnership with appropriate CSOs, and private sector to leverage ActionAid's chances of success in competitive calls for proposals;
∎ Coordinate and oversee efforts to secure co-financing for all institutional and high-value grants;
∎ Represent the organisation at external events as appropriate;
∎ Management:
∎ Promote the organizational vision and values;
∎ Deliver to the agreed KPIs and objectives of the team;
∎ Lead, manage and develop a high performing team;
∎ Responsible for Contract Management;
∎ Child Sponsorship:
∎ Prepare strategy and action plan for local child sponsorship;
∎ Provide strategic guidance to the Child Sponsorship Unit;
∎ Ensure that ActionAid Bangladesh maintains the highest level of supporter care; putting the supporter first and seeking ways to improve supporter experience;
∎ Raise and sustain 50% funding from institutional and high-value donors for the Country Strategy Paper (CSP) V period (2018-2022).

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience & Training Skills:
∎ Minimum of seven years' experience with an NGO in a senior programme funding position(s);
∎ Having involvement in proposal development and donor liaison;
∎ Capacity building experience including training and skills development;
∎ Essential knowledge and Other Skills:
∎ Excellent English and Bangla language skills (written, reading and spoken);
∎ Target oriented and strong perseverance to achieve the target;
∎ Excellent data management and analysis skills;
∎ Programmatic understanding of Humanitarian Interventions, Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Justice, Governance, Women Rights, Youth programming, and livelihoods;
∎ Ability to manage and maintain a high level of motivation to a dynamic and target-oriented team;
∎ Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
∎ Knowledge of Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA);
∎ Ability in Managing web-based data management system;
∎ Ideas on development issues;
∎ Ability to think out of the box;
∎ Knowledge and sensitivity about Gender;
∎ Knowledge of Child rights and protections;
