Postgraduate: FCPS Part-I / MS Part-I/MRCOG-I in Gynecology & Obstetrics (preferred).

Job Summary:

The Gyne RS is responsible for assisting consultants in providing medical care to patients in the Gynecology and Obstetrics department. The role includes patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, assisting in surgeries, and ensuring high-quality patient care under consultant supervision

1. Patient Care & Clinical Duties:

   • Conduct daily patient rounds with consultants.

   • Perform history taking, physical examinations, and prepare case notes.

   • Assist in normal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other gynecological surgeries.

   • Manage emergency cases (e.g., eclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage).

   • Monitor inpatients, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up.

2. Surgical Assistance:

   • Assist consultants during major and minor gynecological surgeries.

   • Prepare operation theatre and ensure necessary instruments and support are ready.

   • Handle pre-operative and post-operative patient management.

3. Documentation & Reporting:

   • Maintain accurate patient records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

   • Prepare and submit case reports and daily progress reports to consultants.

4. Coordination & Communication:

   • Coordinate with nurses, anesthetists, and support staff for smooth operations.

   • Communicate effectively with patients and their attendants regarding procedures, progress, and discharge plans.

5. Academic & Training Duties:

   • Participate in departmental teaching, case presentations, and CME programs.

   • Stay updated with current medical guidelines and best practices.

6. Compliance & Ethics:

   • Adhere to hospital policies, infection control protocols, and confidentiality standards.

   • Maintain professional behavior and patient confidentiality at all times.
