Age 45 to 57 years Master’s degree (M.Com/ MBA) major in preferably Accounting from an accredited university. Must have 15+ years of experience in the area of Accounts and Finance which pertains to Accounting, Audit, Planning & Analysis Operations in Multinational Companies in/Outside Bangladesh or Reputed Companies.Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)Essential to be a Certified Public Accountant, Holder of CA or ICMA(Please Refrain to Apply if not have)Successful Experience in Arrange Syndicated Loans, Equity arrangement for Mega Projects with Local and Foreign Financers, Generate Revenues with different financing models.Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret various metrics, financial reports, and legal documents.Have the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.Must be highly skilled in communicating via written and verbal formats. We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join in one of our client’s growing team. They are Group of companies having garments, FMCG and Agro business verticle. The chosen candidate will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in financial decision-making that affects theentire group, and will provide strategic financial input to senior management and design and implement the revenue generation of the group in regular and exceptional methods. While keenly overseeing the overall accounting process, the successful CFO will play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health for the group.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare Statements: Generate accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow Statements).
Analyze Data: Analyze financial discrepancies and variances to provide insights into budget-versus-actual performance.
Close Ledgers: Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure all financial data is accurately recorded.
2. Corporate Banking & Trade Finance
Manage all banking relationships, including negotiating credit facilities, corporate loan processing (term loans, working capital), and ensuring timely fund availability.
Handle end-to-end trade finance operations relevant to the garments sector, including L/C (Letter of Credit) opening, amendment, acceptance, retirement, and Back-to-Back L/C management.
Monitor export document negotiation, realization, and manage cash incentives/subsidies related to RMG exports.
3. General Ledger & Reconciliation
Reconcile Accounts: Perform complex bank, balance sheet, and inter-company ledger reconciliations.
Maintain Ledger: Oversee the general ledger, review journal entries, and ensure the accuracy of all accounting data.
Asset Management: Maintain and manage fixed asset ledgers, depreciation schedules, and inventory tracking.
4. Tax & Regulatory Compliance
File Taxes: Prepare and file corporate tax returns, VAT/GST filings, and withholding tax certificates.
Ensure Standards: Ensure all financial operations comply with local laws, NBR regulations for the export-oriented garments industry, and recognized accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS or ISA).
5. Budgeting & Forecasting
Formulate Budgets: Assist in developing annual corporate budgets and project-based financial forecasts.
Control Costs: Monitor spending across departments and identify areas for cost reduction.
6. Audit Coordination
Plan and execute internal financial audits to ensure compliance with company policies.
Prepare Documentation: Organize and prepare financial workpapers, schedules, and documentation for internal and external auditors.
Facilitate Audits: Serve as the primary point of contact during annual financial audits to resolve queries quickly.
