• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA, or equivalent.

• Minimum 8-12 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, treasury management, and financial controls.

• Proven experience managing ERP systems and advanced financial analysis tools.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Direct experience in the freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, transportation, supply chain, NVOCC, cargo handling, aviation

• logistics, or related sectors in Bangladesh. Strong understanding of freight operations, international trade, customs processes, and logistics business models.

• Experience handling multi-currency transactions and international business operations.

• Exposure to business expansion, mergers, investments, or strategic projects

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business expansion, improving financial controls, optimizing cash flow, and providing valuable insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making.

This is an overseas career opportunity with David Pieris Logistics (Pvt) Ltd. for its operations in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

• Financial Management & Reporting

• Lead the overall finance and accounting operations of the company.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to management.

• Budgeting & Business Planning

• Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

• Analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance and recommend corrective actions.

• Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives through financial analysis.

• Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and liquidity planning.

• Monitor foreign currency transactions, exchange rate exposure, and international settlements.

• Optimize cash utilization and financing arrangements.

• Freight Forwarding & Logistics Finance

• Oversee revenue recognition, shipment profitability analysis, and operational cost control.

• Monitor freight forwarding, customs clearance, transportation, warehousing, and logistics-related financial activities.

• Develop KPI dashboards and profitability reports by customer, route, product, and business segment.

• Compliance, Taxation & Audit

• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, VAT requirements, statutory obligations, and corporate governance standards.

• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement recommendations.

• Maintain robust internal controls and risk management processes.

• Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.

• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
