Responsibilities & Context:

Job Responsibilities & Context (Generator Technician)

• Install generators (PG or DG) at customer sites following technical standards and safety guidelines.

• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal generator performance and longevity.

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, identify problems, and carry out necessary repairs efficiently.

• Troubleshoot issues related to starting the system, alternator, AVR, control panel, fuel system, and load management.

• Conduct load testing, commissioning, and performance checks after installation or major repair.

• Ensure proper wiring, earthing, ATS/AMF panel connection, and compliance with safety regulations.

• Provide emergency breakdown support and on-site technical assistance when required.

• Maintain service records, checklists, and reports for each job completed.

• Handle spare parts replacement, oil change, filter change, battery maintenance, and coolant checks.

• Coordinate with the technical team, service manager, and store for parts availability and scheduling.

• Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues, solutions, and maintenance advice.

• Perform customer handover after installation/service, including operational guidance and safety instructions.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and company assets in proper working condition.

• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry best practices at all times.

• Be available for field visits, urgent service calls, and assignments as directed by management.
