Job Purpose: Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure business profitability, distribution excellence, and organizational efficiency. The General Manager will drive long-term growth initiatives, ensure financial discipline, and maintain high operational standards across the entire business unit.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic s Business Leadership
Formulate and execute annual business and operational strategies to align with corporate goals and market priorities.
Oversee implementation of distribution plans, ensuring channel efficiency, territory coverage, and commercial growth.
Conduct periodic business reviews with distributor and internal stakeholders to evaluate performance and adjust strategies.
Financial s Investment Governance
Lead financial planning with the distributor, ensuring compliance with investment guidelines and cost-control measures.
Approve major operational expenditures, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with budgetary targets.
People Leadership s Organizational Development
Lead workforce planning, including team structure, capability building, succession planning, and retention strategies.
Develop leadership capabilities within field teams and ensure a high-performance work culture.
Enforce workplace discipline, code of conduct, and operational compliance.
Operational Excellence
Ensure optimal stock management, including stock lifting, coverage ratio, and inventory accuracy.
Supervise end-to-end operational processes, ensuring smooth functioning across logistics, warehouse, finance coordination, and OSDO operations (if applicable).
Strengthen process standardization and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder s External Relationship Management
Maintain high-level relationships with government officials, banking institutions, labor bodies, and other external stakeholders critical to business continuity.
Represent the company in significant operational or regulatory engagements when required.
Collaboration
Work closely with the Managing Director on strategic decisions and business transformation initiatives.
Collaborate with the distributor for financial planning, infrastructure expansion, and operational development.
Coordinate with Territory Officer, OSDO Manager/In-Charge, Finance, and cross-functional teams for integrated business execution.
Provide leadership direction to any internal/external unit as necessary to ensure organizational efficiency.
