Job Context:
∎ Duration: Till December 2019, Further Extension depends on Donor Funds
∎ Gender Coordinator should have extensive past experience working on projects that involved a significant focus on gender integration and social inclusion, to include carrying out SI analyses and the development of action plans to integrate marginalized populations across program components. This is a locally-based position with frequent travel to Project regions; Gender Coordinator will be reporting to Project Manager. The project aims to reduce suffering, maintain human dignity and save lives among conflict-affected Rohingya refugees, particularly the most vulnerable groups.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate with and support the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team in establishing and implementing gender-sensitive monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting systems. Work closely with the M&E Specialist to develop the data collection and analysis tools for the baseline assessment to guarantee gender and social inclusion considerations.
∎ Gender Coordinator will be responsible for action planning, which will feed directly into the Activity's overall work planning
∎ Conduct a local systems analysis, with an integrated gender and social inclusion analysis, to inform how we address needs in local context
∎ Incorporate a Gender Integration Plan into the project's Annual Implementation Plan based on assessment findings and updated annually based on M&E data and participant/partner feedback. Report against progress on this plan on a quarterly basis.
∎ Provide partner organizations with ongoing gender integration and social inclusion technical assistance.
∎ Ensure the most vulnerable and marginalized populations are represented across all project components, including as staff members, project participants, trainers, facilitators, speakers, evaluators, and so forth. These can include indigenous persons; lesbian, gay, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) persons; and persons with disabilities. Understanding that girls and women tend to experience more marginalization and increased vulnerability within these groups, emphasis will be placed on this population. Other types of marginalized populations may be identified through an analysis
∎ Ensure activities budgeted are able to equally benefit males and females and, in instances where this is not the case, provide a clear rationale that does not contradict the project's gender equality goals.
∎ Integrate gender and social inclusion considerations into operational research design and policy analyses.
∎ Incorporate discussions and activities related to gender and social inclusion into facilitation plans when designing dialogue sessions
∎ Orient and train project staff on gender and social inclusion sensitivity and approaches, ensuring their understanding of Counterpart's Gender Operational Guidelines
∎ Writing weekly report to line manager, and verbal reports whenever necessary
∎ Coordinate activities with other local actors (governmental and non-governmental)
∎ Comply with Bangladesh law and follow all ADRA Bangladesh and ADRA Canada procedures, compliance and documentation requirements
∎ Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to uphold ADRA's standards and to not jeopardize ADRA's mission.
∎ Be adaptable and flexible to take new tasks and new assignments within the scope of the project activities as requested from time to time.
∎ Other:
∎ Represent ADRA with networking and participation in various Government, Donor and NGO forums.
∎ GBV/PSEA Focal Point
∎ Perform other duties as assigned by the Project manager and any other concerned personnel.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Excellent knowledge of gender and social inclusion issues including social, political, and cultural gender norms and challenges
∎ Excellent knowledge of the status of vulnerable and marginalized populations within Project area and their engagement in social, political, and cultural realms
∎ Experience designing, leading and conducting gender and social inclusion analyses, as well as integrating and implementing findings into program design.
∎ Experience building capacity of local stakeholders on gender and social inclusion issues.
∎ Experience integrating social inclusion in community participatory engagement or advocacy preferred
∎ Demonstrated leadership, supervisory and organizational skills
∎ Ability to listen and adapt
∎ High level of interpersonal and communication skills

Salary: Negotiable
