Job Context:
∎ Reports to: Country Representative, Bangladesh
∎ Duration of Contract: Two Years (with a possibility of extension)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Fund Raising and Donor Relations
∎
∎ Actively leads in the development and implementation of the Country Fundraising.
∎ Liase with the Asia Regional and Global team in exploring funding opportunities
∎ Identify and qualify funding and partnership affiliate opportunities in a systematic manner, regularly monitor opportunities and share with relevant team members.
∎ Research and produce guidance documents and briefings to affiliates on donor thematic strategies, policy directions and funding requirements and plans.
∎ Develop highly competitive project and programme proposals, finalize applications to persuasively communicate our vision, strategy, and programs to potential funders; solicit and integrate feedback from program, budget, and fundraising perspectives.
∎ Provide advice on and at times lead project/programme development contract design, understanding donor rules and regulations, as well as donor relations and communication in general.
∎ Prepare donor reports for grants awarded together with the program and monitoring team.
∎ Coordinate with Regional Fundraising Manager in managing the grant application process and ensuring that grants received are tracked, and reported upon and in line with donors' expectations.
∎ Support the Senior Management Team to prepare for meetings with donors and participate in these meetings as appropriate.
∎ Facilitate networking meetings with potential donors and partners in order to keep up-to-date with developments in funding practices and sources.
∎ Ensure that in-country warm-acquisitions are timely followed up and quality concepts and proposals are timely submitted to the donors.
∎ Build capacity of the country team members on various aspects of quality proposal writing
∎ Generate new/ innovative ideas in relation to ICCO/ Cordaid's thematic areas through research, field visit, secondary sources and prepare pitch documents for various donors
∎ Internal and External Communications
∎
∎ Ensure that the organization has a communications strategy in place and it is being followed properly
∎ Understand and guide the team on communications protocols for the donors
∎ Closely liaise with the donors on the communications requirement
∎ Liase with the regional and global communications team on internal communications & visibility
∎ Prepare the communication and visibility materials according to organizational needs and donor/projects requirements
∎ Assist to prepare the presentation and project reports for the donors and stakeholders
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3-4 years of experience e of working in fundraising is mandatory and sound knowledge of development issues in Bangladesh
∎ Prior experience of working on communication strategy and products
∎ Ability to manage a diverse workload, work under own initiative and be flexible to changing priorities
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence, both internally and externally
∎ Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English Intermediate level of understanding on various tools, software and designing of communication materials
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday, 40 hours per week.
∎ Expected travel in the field, around 30% of time
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Salary:
∎ Competitive salary package depending on education and experience.
