Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in basic fire detection & protection systems; troubleshooting in fire safety installations is mandatory & basic Occupational Health & Safety-related experience will be preferred.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
Basic knowledge of fire detection & protection systems.
Knowledge of firefighting techniques and fire prevention measures.
Efficient in handling fire extinguishers & hydrant systems.
Basic knowledge of fire control panels.
Fire safety, electrical safety, and Pump & hydrant systems.
Able to write basic incident reports, log sheets, and work registers.

Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for ensuring 24/7 operation of fire safety equipment (Protection & Detection System), water supply for domestic use and Fire reserve, and also providing assistance in any relevant Occupational Health & Safety issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the automatic fire detection and Alarm system.
Ensure regular inspection of fire extinguishers, ensure timely refilling & inform the supervisor/authority regarding any defects in them
Keep the Protection & Detection system.
Ensure water supply for BRAC Head Office.
Assist with record-keeping for all types of scheduled checkups.
Assist to ensure Daily/Weekly/Trimester check of all safety equipment
Assist in arranging and conducting Safety Training/Tool Box Meetings with the workforce.
Maintain the fire hydrant system, including the fire pump, fully operational
Provide basic First Aid as required.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
