∎ JOB PURPOSE: This position will perform a variety of professional level duties in support of budget development and administration, financial analysis and project control. S/He will collect financial or project data; analyses and verifies data for accuracy and contribute to ensure efficient management and monitoring Programmes` financial segment following BRAC guidelines and general rules and regulations.
∎ Location: Head Office

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare, review, modify as needed and ensure department and project budgets are accurate, realistic, cost-effective and aligned with compliance standards, BRAC Strategy and UPG's overall goals.
∎ Prepare, maintain and analyze monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual financial progress reports and statutory accounts as required.
∎ Lead general financial management and reporting procedures
∎ Ensure efficient and effective financial management and risk management of the programme and all its interventions
∎ Prepare and review Five years Financial Planning and ensure its effective implementation
∎ Develop risk assessment guidelines for UPG and assess financial risks of all UPG projects, interventions and partnerships, make recommendations for mitigations and provide support to carry these out.
∎ Develop capacity on financial management, transparency, accountability and knowledge sharing.
∎ Develop budget linked plans and monitoring mechanism
∎ Maintain accounts as per BRAC rules and regulations
∎ Follow up and address issues identified in BRAC financial and M&E reports and Audit observations
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Strong fluency with excel formulas and functions.
∎ Strong analytical and data gathering skills
∎ Principles of budgetary administration
∎ Financial control and monitoring
∎ Principles and practices of cash flow analysis and cost accounting.
∎ Financial, statistical and comparative analysis and formulas.
∎ Financial planning, forecasting, organizing, teamwork and collaboration.
∎ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 3 years of working experience in financial management, cost analysis, budget development etc. Experience in development sector is preferred.
