Job Context:
∎ Currently Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is looking for a suitable Bangladeshi national for the following position for Population Movement Operation (PMO), Cox`s Bazar under Bangladesh Red Crescent Society:
∎ Duration of contract : Initially Up to 31st December 2021 (with possibility of extension).
∎ Organizational Unit/Department : Finance, PMO, Cox`s Bazar
∎ Reporting line : Sr. Finance Officer, PMO, BDRCS

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Preparation of vouchers, cheques and posting of vouchers in cash/bank book/accounting software.
∎ Maintains appropriate filing of financial records, and ensures proper backup of all files
∎ Ensure that supplier payments are accurate on time and that value for money is attained in all procurement
∎ Prepare bill, vouchers in accordance with organization policy and maintaining donor requirement and other relevant documentation.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual project Financial Reports in consultation with line Managers as per prescribed timeline;
∎ Maintain books of accounts, prepared monthly, quarterly, yearly financial reports as per donor & organizational requirement and specified deadlines.
∎ Maintain Accounting Software (Tally) for Project Accounts and update regular posting, where necessary.
∎ Ensure that accurate and complete accounting documents and any other information is available to all stakeholders for reference and future needs.
∎ Ensure payments of the bills, salary, festival allowances, Tax & VAT within time line
∎ Prepare monthly financial statement, bank reconciliation statement and others financial related statement
∎ Responsible for complying government policy including VAT & Tax deduction at source and deposit to treasury as per Govt. rules.
∎ Provides advice and recommendations to program personnel on financial procedures and practices, as required.
∎ Maintain liaison with program staffs and render support as and when necessary
∎ Keeping invoices, staff advances other financial documents and records properly & safely;
∎ Provide support to auditors in conducting audit of financial activities.
∎ Reporting to Sr. Finance Officer, PMO, PMO
∎ Project budget analysis, identify variance, and develop control mechanism.
∎ Response to audit observation if any.
∎ Prepare fund request for the donors and ensures timely availability of funds for project activities
∎ Keep the accounts and financial management transparent for all concerned.
∎ Prepare monthly financial statement, bank reconciliation statement and others financial related statement.
∎ Collect source documents from respective staff in preparing vouchers as well as other financial reports.
∎ All other task from supervisor will perform as and when required.
∎ Carry out any assigned task need to be accomplishing within the due time as instructed by Line Manager or competent authority.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 year(s) of working experience in the relevant discipline, preferably in NGO, INGO, Red Cross/Crescent Movement, or relevant organization.
∎ Knowledge on Tally Accounting Software is desirable.
∎ Working Conditions:
∎ The Finance Officer is based at PMO office located at Cox's Bazar.
∎ S/he will spend approximately 20% of his/her time exclusively to be worked with line Manager on PMO Financial reporting
∎ S/he will spend approximately 20% of his/her time in the field
∎ Additional Requirements
∎ Experience in accounting of similar nature project in any national or international organization
∎ Knowledge on day-to-day accounting
∎ Knowledge on internal auditing
∎ Respect for diversity, gender sensitivity, and integrity
∎ Able to make efficient plan, prioritize task and optimum utilization of available resources
∎ Able to operate accounting related software (Tally ERP 9.0) as well as Excel, MS office, Power Point.
∎ Able to prepare periodical financial reports
∎ Age Limit : 45 years (may be relaxed in case of outstanding candidates)

Salary:
∎ Up to BDT. 55,000/-
