Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan BahadurAhsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health & WASH Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 9 institutions and 14 donor funded projects.
∎ DAM Health & WASH Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Finance Officer of Max Foundation Bangladesh supported Project titled “Building Water Sanitation Entrepreneurship Program” covering Patuakhali region. It’s a Patuakhali based position which will act as the key person of admin and finance operations.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintain all financial transaction and checking all bill voucher;
∎ Maintain all the books of accounts;
∎ Maintain all kind of register which are related to finance and admin;
∎ Prepare salary sheet and bank advice timely ;
∎ Prepare Financial Report for donor and organization along with all type of schedule and Bank Reconciliation on monthly basis ;
∎ Record vendors payment;
∎ Reporting and posting the expenditure in the appropriate budget head;
∎ Ensure vat /Tax deduction and deposit to bank, timely update VAT/ Tax schedule;
∎ Close communication with bank ;
∎ Provide necessary assistance to external /internal audit, donor finance team during their visit at project office ;
∎ Support to project team for Procurement planning and budgeting ;
∎ Ensure all accounting and financial activities as per organization and donor policy, rules and regulations;
∎ Prepare Voucher and ensure that all documents are valid and authorized. Vouchers are reviewed and sequentially preserved;
∎ Provides administrative & logistics support to the project team. This also includes organizing for meetings, conferences and other special events;
∎ Prepares contracts engaged by organization and project with third parties ;
∎ Performs procurement according to organization policy;
∎ Keep all HR records accurately in collaboration with the Project Manager ;
∎ Perform all other Human Resource related admin tasks ;
∎ To do any other task or assignment which will assigned by higher management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Priority will be given to the candidates who have experience in sanitation marketing, local entrepreneurship development, entrepreneur association and payment by result (PbR) Project;
∎ Willingness to accept frequent field missions;
∎ At least 5 years of experience in relevant fields;
∎ Experience of Max Foundation Bangladesh supported Project;
∎ Good computer skills on Microsoft Office Tools, especially MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point;
∎ Work experience in the area of NGO Sector;
∎ Troyee accounting software generated experience;
∎ Applicants must have COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate;
∎ Age at most 45 years (Age may be considered for experienced candidate).
Salary:
∎ Tk. 43640 (Monthly)
∎ Other admissible benefits will be provided as per organizational policy and project fund availability.
