Job Context:
∎ Khulna Mukti Seba Sangstha (KMSS) is a Bangladeshi development organization that has been working in the public health sector for the last 22 years and currently implementing different projects in 5 districts. KMSS intends to hire a competent Finance & Admin Officer for its `Climate Change Health Resilience` Project to be implemented in Mongla Upazila of Bagerhat District as a downstream partner of Partners in Health and Development (PHD), in support of UNFPA, funded by FCDO. KMSS, with Management support from PHD will implement the project with a collaborative exercise with the Climate Change & Health Promotion Unit (CCHPU), Health Services Division, District Health, and Family Planning Department, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and UNFPA Bangladesh office.
∎ Job Objective: This is the district level position to maintain regular Accounts and Administrative activities. S/he will be responsible for Accounts and Administrative management of the project at the district level. S/he will manage the compliance and financial risks associated with the successful administration and timely reporting and invoicing to the Finance and Admin Coordinator (FAC). S/he will ensure cash, cheque, and other payments and receipts are made in a timely way, with complete and accurate documentation at the field level. S/he will be responsible for providing administrative support to the field office to ensure the timely delivery of tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Projection of quarterly fund requirement as per approved budget after sharing with the focal person.
∎ Follow up on the fund transfer status and ensure fund availability of the project bank A/c.
∎ To maintain Cash book, ledger book, & other subsidiary ledgers as per slandered a/c system demand or Tally ERP 9
∎ Preparation of Financial statements (inflow & outflow statement, budget variance analysis report) for the management.
∎ All admin-related activities of this project will be performed by you
∎ Physical verification of store items, project materials, and equipment.
∎ You are responsible to face External and Internal Audit periodically
∎ Prepare and submission of periodical finance reports in the stipulated time frame.
∎ Any other assignment assigned by the KMSS Management
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years' experience in a finance/accounting role with a reputed NGO.
∎ Knowledge of the operational and compliance requirements of different donor funding.
∎ Experienced in regular administrative work in a district-level office and project setup
∎ Proven record of meeting demanding deadlines.
∎ Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel as well accounting packages & other database competencies.
∎ Good written and spoken English.
Salary: Tk. 30000 (Monthly)
