Job Context:
∎ Project Brief: This is a project of the Government of Bangladesh, financed by the World Bank. The project works for the improvement of the livelihood of the poor and extreme poor, employment generation, entrepreneurship development, and post-crisis economic recovery preparation in the intervention areas. The concerned NGO is assigned the task of performing the monitoring activities of this project as a third party.
∎ Duration: Up to 28 months, subject to the availability of funds and satisfactory performance. Tentative joining date is December 02, 2023.
∎ Location: Any district of Bangladesh

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Part I: Job Statement
∎ The Field Research Officer will be responsible for performing monitoring activities to ensure quality project implementation, collecting data through various methods, collaboration with the project team and knowledge sharing, and preparing both narrative and quantitative reports.
∎ Part II: Job Responsibilities and Tasks
∎ A. Technical Activities
∎ Clear understanding of project framework and log-frame, project's plan, data flow and MIS system (tab-based)
∎ Conducting field assessment to identify any critical deviations in project implementation and factors responsible and recommending actions based on field information
∎ Quality assessment through regular monitoring of project implementation and reporting
∎ Collecting and providing necessary qualitative and quantitative data using different participatory methods like Focus Group Discussion (FGD), KII, Case Study, Most Significant Change, Participant Observation, Case study, etc.
∎ Coordinate with the Regional Coordinator and project implementation team to ensure the functionality of the M&E process;
∎ Recording all desk and field data collected and reporting on the technical feasibility of community-driven activities
∎ Preparing periodic and special monitoring reports, case studies, and documenting lessons learned
∎ Promoting knowledge-sharing through the project's operational intervention processes and systems by, among others, strengthening links between knowledge-sharing and the information systems, and improving integration among information systems in the organization, to facilitate seamless exchange of information among partners
∎ Sharing field findings with the concerned officials of the implementing agency
∎ B. General
∎ Attending regular/monthly and special meetings.
∎ Attending training/orientation as and when asked by the Project Management.
∎ Performing any other task as and when assigned by the Management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years of field experience in field research, participatory monitoring and data collection.
∎ Having non-discriminatory and gender-sensitive perceptions along with safeguarding
∎ To protect children in connection
∎ Having motorcycle-riding skills with a valid motorcycle driving license; however, learners must commit to obtaining a full license within one month
∎ Willing to travel and work in remote areas across the country
∎ Having experience in using a laptop as well as a tablet
∎ Respectful toward safeguarding policy
∎ Good communication, facilitation and motivational skills.
∎ Understanding of local culture and languages is preferable.
∎ Abilities to undertake extensive travel to villages/community level.
∎ Having problem-solving and prompt decision-making capacity.
∎ Ability to work under pressure.

Salary:
∎ 35,483/- per month (Net)
