∎ Nari Maitree (NM) is a women-led, non-governmental organization started its journey in 1983 and since then it has completed a journey of 40 years with an experience of working in various sectors like Health and nutrition, adolescent and youth, Gender equality and equity , Women empowerment, Child rights, livelihood, Education, water and sanitation, Humanitarian response ,Climate change and food security. Nari Maitree is going to implement a project with CORE Group, USA to improve the health and wellbeing of the forcibly displaced Myanmar nationals (Rohingya) and other Host communities living in Cox`s Bazar district in Bangladesh by addressing their SRMNCAH needs. Nari Maitree is seeking application from the suitable candidates for the following position for its Cox`s Bazar Office:
∎ Report to: Project Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Take a lead role in implementing the project activities in the designated target locations. This includes coordinating with community leaders, local organizations, and project beneficiaries to ensure smooth implementation.
∎ Collect accurate and timely data on project activities, including beneficiary demographics, service utilization, and project outcomes. Use appropriate data collection tools and methods to ensure reliable and quality data.
∎ Monitor the progress of project activities and outcomes in the field. Regularly visit project sites to assess the quality and effectiveness of interventions. Report any challenges or issues encountered during implementation and propose solutions.
∎ Facilitate regular meetings and communication with stakeholders, including community leaders, local authorities, project partners, and beneficiaries. Foster strong relationships and collaborations to ensure effective project implementation.
∎ Engage and mobilize community members to participate actively in project activities. Raise awareness about the project objectives, benefits, and available services. Encourage community ownership and participation in decision-making processes.
∎ Provide training and capacity-building support to community volunteers, project staff, and relevant stakeholders. Conduct training sessions on various topics, such as health education, nutrition, and community mobilization, to enhance their skills and knowledge.
∎ Prepare regular progress reports on project activities, outcomes, and challenges. Maintain accurate documentation of field activities, including photos, success stories, and lessons learned. Contribute to donor reports as required.
∎ Ensure the quality and adherence to project guidelines, standards, and protocols during field implementation. Conduct regular quality checks, provide feedback to project staff, and take corrective actions when necessary.
∎ Develop training programs and materials on sustainable agriculture and home gardening techniques suitable for households with children under five, older persons, and pregnant and lactating women.
∎ Provide training on seed selection, planting techniques, crop rotation, composting, and other sustainable agricultural practices.
∎ Identify potential risks and challenges in the field and propose risk mitigation strategies. Monitor and address any security concerns related to field operations. Prioritize the safety and well-being of project staff and beneficiaries.
∎ Establish and maintain positive relationships with local government authorities, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders. Coordinate with them for necessary permissions, approvals, and support for project activities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ A minimum of one years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: nutrition, public health ,nutrition planning and management, or maternal , infant and child health/nutrition care.
∎ Have experience working in humanitarian or emergency preparedness and response
∎ Knowledge on public health and nutrition programming particularly SRHR
∎ Ability and flexibility to understand the cultural and political environment and to work well with the local health representatives
Salary: Tk. 45000 (Monthly)
