Job Context:
∎ Japanese Red Cross, a national society is also assisting BDRCS in starting up a Health Care Project to provide primary health care at Health Clinic in Camp 12 in Balukhali 2 and community health services in Balukhali 2 and Hakimpara. For smooth functioning of this Project, currently BDRCS/ JRCS are looking for suitable Bangladeshi nationals for the position of a Field Manager.
∎ Duration of contract : July 2019 - March 2020
∎ Organizational Unit : PMO, BDRCS
∎ Number of Post : 01 (supported by JRCS)
∎ Age : 35 - 55 years (May be relaxed in case of potential candidate)
∎ Duty Station : Cox`s Bazar (Occasionally Balukhali2 and Hakimpara)
∎ Purpose: The Field manager position is to lead the successful implementation of the BDRCS/JRCS Health Care Project in Cox`s Bazar (here after "the Project") in Balukhali2 and Hakimpara. The role of the manager will be to coordinate, harmonize, represent and develop the Project, under the BDRCS PMO umbrella.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Functional responsibilities

∎ Implement the Project according the minimum standards of the Package of Essential Primary Health Services.
∎ Ensure timely high-quality evidence-based care
∎ Standardize processes and procedures of operations within the RCRC health structures.
∎ Take the lead and coordinate the field team in terms of implementation of services, processes, documentation, reporting.
∎ Ensure operation procedures and guidelines are updated and available at the site.
∎ Ensure referral pathways are updated and available and disseminate this information to the medical team.
∎ Abide by and work in accordance with the RCRC principles.
∎ Needs to contribute to a positive team environment and service excellence to meet the need of the community.
∎ HR

∎ Manage rotations of staff, identify and address HR-gaps.
∎ Ensure and coordinate staff development and training
∎ Coordinate with health expert who will attend trainings and workshops.
∎ Medical logistics & Pharmacy

∎ Support medical logistics in a timely manner to ensure clinical team have adequate supplies.
∎ Support the medical supply chain management.
∎ Coordinate logistic items for contingency planning
∎ Monitoring and reporting

∎ Ensure adequate and timely data and information collection, and timely reporting to Kobo, EWARS, DHIS-2.
∎ Ensure outgoing quality monitoring.
∎ Representation and liaison

∎ Coordinate with the community mobilizer team to ensure proper messaging to the community volunteers.
∎ Liaise with health, logistics, HR departments of the PMO office.
∎ Ensure information sharing between the PMO-office and the team.
∎ Coordinate with JRCS that are supporting the team.
∎ Internally supports the health expert in any relevant task required.
∎ Hold monthly meetings with all medical teams working in health post/health center.
∎ Ensure weekly briefing and debriefing of the teams upon return from the field.
∎ Liaising with all relevant PMO departments and PNSs at Cox's level.
∎ Share adequate information from health meetings to clinical staff and BDRCS medical leads.
∎ Liaise with and represent BDRCS in the CiC office and health sector at camp level.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 55 years
∎ At least Five (5) years' experience in Public Health and Community health work, preferably in a humanitarian setting.
∎ Experience in project management
∎ Skills:
∎ Ability to multitask and work in a complex environment
∎ Good data analysis skills
∎ Good coordination skills and ability to cope with stress
∎ Fluency in both spoken and written Bangla and English languages
∎ Qualities:
∎ Adhere to the 7 fundamental principles of Red Cross and Red Crescent movement
∎ Act at all times in accordance with the Code of Conduct of RCRC Movement
∎ Priority will be given to the candidates who demonstrate a high level of motivation and good communication and interpersonal skills.
