Field Coordinator is responsible to manage, coordinate and follow-up all the project interventions under supervision of Waste management Specialist; maintain liaison and networking with the local government agencies and other stakeholders. S/he will ensure smooth implementation and field-level coordination of solid waste management operations, logistics, and community engagement activities.

Job Description:

  • Managing day-to-day field level project activities, and ensure those align with project expectations and approved project objectives, workplans, and budgets

  • Assist Waste Management Specialist in preparing the engagement strategy and action plan, and bring relevant changes required for effective stakeholder engagement and accountability for managing city waste

  • Ensure proper collaboration with the Union Parishad, stakeholders, and community groups including waste workers, fishermen community, and youth groups.

  • Assist in route planning and leading the waste collection drive, including 12 waste workers and 6 vans.

  • Organize different meetings, trainings and workshops as per the engagement strategy and action plan in order to maximize government, stakeholder, and community engagement

  • Ensure collaboration and liaison with Mayor, Councilors, city/municipality authority for ensuring coordinated service delivery.

  • Ensure field level implementation, monitor progress of the project and ensure smooth field delivery of the activities

  • Support for planning and administration of and/or conduct special events, e.g., behavior change intervention, campaigns, workshops, trainings, and other events

  • Ensure preparing periodic project reports as required by donor and programme management

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Job Location: UDP field office, Saint Martin, Cox’s Bazar
