Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably diploma in agriculture, plus five (5) years of related experiences. Educational qualification is flexible to the highly experienced & skilled persons in the relevant fields.
∎ Experience Requirements Minimum five (5) years of related experiences in the fields of cooperative development, entrepreneurship development, business development and marketing in agriculture/livestock value chains.

∎ Job Location: Huzurikanda, Nakla, Sherpur
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Training and Capacity Building (25%),Cooperative Development (25%),Cooperative Enterprise Development & Management (50%)
∎ Develop and deliver organized or hand-on training packages for the field motivators, cooperative leaders and the entrepreneurs.
∎ Develop guidelines for the formation, management and governance of cooperatives.
∎ Facilitate cooperative members to follow and practice the co-op rules, principles and values.
∎ Facilitate cross-learning among cooperatives and encourage the adaptation of best practices.
∎ Update and implement policies, procedures and systems of the cooperatives.
∎ Facilitate the capacity building process of the cooperative i.e. governing body & management team in effective and efficient decision making, financial management, human resource management, operation and strategic planning and implementation, conflict management, and democratic governance etc.
∎ Lead in formulating the cooperative development strategy for program and entrepreneurship development.
∎ Guide co-ops in planning, implementation, monitoring and internal evaluation and proper functioning.
∎ Facilitate and monitor pre-cooperative orientation and motivational activities in the self-help groups (SHGs).
∎ Build relationships with external agencies (public and private), and facilitate engagement with similar organizations.
∎ Support co-ops in formulating short- and long-term strategies and business plans and ensure their effective implementation.
∎ Support co-ops to successfully run the cooperative-owned enterprises.
∎ Work with the Mati's program team to develop cooperatives as business hubs with backward and forward linkages into the entire value chain.
∎ Support in developing business relationships with financial institutions, banks, and other value chain actors.
∎ Support in developing services to co-op members (finance, inputs, training, and support services).
∎ Support in branding and marketing services to co-ops (selling quality products and services, promotion, distribution, bulking, and branding).
∎ May perform other job-related duties as assigned
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Minimum five (5) years of related experiences in the fields of cooperative development, entrepreneurship development, business development and marketing in agriculture/livestock value chains.
∎ Skills with Microsoft Office package, internet browser, and other appropriate technology.
∎ Ability to implement and maintain various capacity assessment tools for quality and accountability assurance of cooperatives and agribusinesses.
∎ Working knowledge of sustainable livelihoods, value chain development and market systems development.
∎ Demonstrate a high degree of honesty and integrity.
∎ Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
∎ Motivated to work responsibly with little supervision.
∎ Good communication and motivation skill with multilateral stakeholders.
∎ Very good documentation and reporting skill.
∎ Proven Business development & marketing skill.
∎ Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
