Responsibilities & Context:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive / Sr. Executive – Commercial (Import) to manage import-related commercial operations for our 100% export-oriented woven garments manufacturing company located in Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ).

The incumbent will be responsible for managing end-to-end import activities, including import documentation, customs clearance, bonded warehouse compliance, and coordination with BEPZA, Customs, Banks, C&F Agents, Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines, and Suppliers. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in EPZ import commercial operations, strong knowledge of import regulations and customs procedures, and the ability to ensure timely clearance of imported materials to support uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Handle end-to-end export and import documentation in compliance with BEPZA and Customs regulations.

  2. Prepare, verify, and process Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, EXP, L/C documents, Proforma Invoice, Certificate of Origin, GSP (where applicable), and other commercial documents.

  3. Coordinate with BEPZA, Customs, Banks, C&F Agents, Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines, and Suppliers to ensure smooth shipment execution.

  4. Follow up on import shipments to ensure timely customs clearance and uninterrupted production.

  5. Process import permissions and customs declarations through the EPZ online system.

  6. Maintain bonded warehouse records and ensure compliance with all EPZ and Customs requirements.

  7. Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Production, Merchandising, Finance, and Accounts departments regarding shipment schedules and commercial documentation.

  8. Monitor shipment status, vessel schedules, and delivery timelines.

  9. Ensure timely submission of commercial documents to banks and relevant authorities.

  10. Maintain proper filing and documentation for internal and external audits.

  11. Resolve shipment-related issues with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.

  12. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly commercial reports for management.

  13. Ensure compliance with company policies, buyer requirements, and statutory regulations.
