Educational Requirements:
∎ At least a bachelor's degree in insurance, finance, economics, or a related field from any reputed University.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review insurance applications for compliance and adherence
∎ Assess clients' background information and financial status
∎ Liaise with specialists to gather information and opinions
∎ Weight loss exposures and determine underwriting alternatives
∎ Draw up quotes for competitive insurance premiums
∎ Negotiate and define the specific terms of insurance policies with brokers or policyholders
∎ Keep detailed records of policies underwritten and decisions made
∎ The balance between mass and homogeneity of risks to achieve predictability of future results
∎ Develop and maintain a profitable book of business for the insurer
∎ Ensure accurate and organized documentation of underwriting decisions, policy details, and client information for future reference.
∎ Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements governing insurance underwriting in Bangladesh, ensuring ethical practices and adherence to company policies.
∎ Follow applicable insurance laws
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 20 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience in insurance underwriting will be an advantage.
∎ Confident decision-making skills
∎ Excellent knowledge of insurance policies and the ability to relate policy provisions to loss exposures will be an advantage.
∎ Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
∎ Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
∎ Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
∎ A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the insurance industry.
∎ Strong ethical values and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
