Experience:
Knowledge of marker making, spreading, cutting tools, and fabric types.
Good understanding of garment construction and pattern layout.
Strong numerical and analytical skills for fabric consumption calculation.
Basic knowledge of ERP system and Excel.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong team coordination and communication skills.
Prepare and execute daily cutting plans based on production schedule and order priorities.
Ensure correct marker placement and fabric utilization to reduce wastage.
Monitor lay cutting, bundling, and ticketing as per specifications.
Ensure that cutting quality meets required standards (cutting accuracy, ply count, fabric grain).
Identify fabric defects and coordinate with quality team for necessary action.
Ensure that cut panels are properly labeled and issued to sewing lines as per bundle sheet.
Maintain records of fabric consumption, cut panel balance, and wastage reports.
Keep daily records of cutting production and report discrepancies to the superior.
Coordinate with the store for fabric issuance and balance tracking.
Supervise cutting helpers, layer men, and spreaders to ensure proper workflow.
Conduct on-the-job training for new helpers or team members.
Support the cutting manager in implementing 5S and lean practices in the department.
Any other task assigned by the management.
