Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting
∎ Minimum graduate with relevant finance and accountancy qualification. Partial completion of accounting professional course like; CA / CA(CC), ACCA will be preferable.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Accounts:
∎ Prepare the paperwork for all financial transactions and submit for approval and ensure payment.
∎ Manage the petty cash, payroll and sundry expenses process
∎ Ensure statuary compliance like; VAT & TAX issues in accounting transactions
∎ Recorded of all financial transactions in an accurate, timely and transparent manner.
∎ Keep financial records and perform financial procedures (e.g. receipts, payments, requests, and petty cash) and ensure that documentation and recording for all accounting transactions are complete, transparent and robust.
∎ Ensure the chart of accounts/budget line, projects codes structure is adhered to for recording transactions within the accounting system.
∎ Ensure day to day controls and reconciliations are performed with petty cash and bank accounts.
∎ Ensure company-wide compliance to grant conditions and internal financial policies and highlighting areas of concern to Head of Finance and administration.
∎ Support to prepare the company accounts before the start of the statuary audit
∎ Administration:
∎ Ensure effective office systems (e.g. Sales support, office maintenance, safety security, safeguarding), ensuring these are consistent with requirements.
∎ Responsible for maintain and regular update of office inventory and asset register
∎ Other ad-hoc administrative duties as they may arise.
∎ May also be expected at times to contribute to other areas of work based on availability and company need.
