∎ Position Summary
∎
∎ Since August 2017, hundreds of thousands of women, children and men have fled violence in Myanmar and crossed into Bangladesh. The newly arrived people came to Cox`s Bazar district with very few belongings, have no access to income sources, and struggle to provide for the minimum levels of food and other essential needs and services for survival. This is one of the largest and most complex crises in the region.

∎ The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) with support of the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) and Partner National Societies (PNSs) is implementing a large "Population Movement Operation" (PMO) to respond to the needs of the new arrivals and host communities. In response to the need for an improved protective environment and access to basic health and nutrition services, the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and Swiss Red Cross along with technical partners like Action Against Hunger, Orbis International and the Directorate General of Health Services as the leading government partner, render primary health services through three running and two additional Primary Health Care Centers. These services will be open to both the residents of the host communities in Cox`s Bazar and people from Myanmar. Being a part of SRC Bangladesh Delegation, the position is expected to take lead in terms of implementing the project titled "Primary and Environmental Health in Ukhiya" through a partnership approach. In addition to the primary health component, the project also plans to implement solid waste management (SWM) operations for the host and guest community for ensuring better environmental health. The ERRM will support SRC and its partners in designing, coordinating, implementing and monitoring of the project activities related to both primary and environmental health. At the same time the position will support to retrieve effective linkage and coordination of the collaboration between BDRCS and Swiss Red Cross (SRC) and the local civil administration and elected representatives.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support project implementation to ensure that the project is delivered on time and in accordance with the project documents and the required quality standards.
∎ Supervise the project progress and recommend necessary adjustments where required.

∎ Demonstrate high level of commitment and professionalism to uphold the partnership principle among the partners.
∎ Develop and strengthen systems and process for better supervision and coordination among movement partners and other external stakeholders including but not limited to donors, INGOs, UN agency, clusters and government authorities.
∎ Liaise with BDRCS technical focal points, partners, district/upazila/union level Government authorities and the humanitarian community in Cox's Bazar regarding the project interventions and advocacy.
∎ Extend implementation, coordination and monitoring support to IFRCS/BDRCS in the implementation of Emergency Plan of Action (EPOA) for migrant population at Cox Bazar
∎ Provide management support (including capacity building) to BDRCS and project team. Support field level staffs, partners and volunteers in the management of any crises or emergency situation
∎ Support the elaboration of regular project reports and periodic SRC reporting to donors, and other relevant actors.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by the line management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years of working experience with humanitarian work
∎ Knowledge of humanitarian context of Bangladesh, emergency response & early recovery program, DRR & CCA work
∎ Knowledge of national policies, issues and legal frameworks related to disaster response, preparedness and disaster risk management
∎ Good command of English and Bangla speaking and writing
∎ Demonstrated high level of motivational and communication skills;
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
