1. Electrical Safety Auditing & Verification
Conduct scheduled and surprise electrical safety audits across all factory areas including production floors, warehouses, utility blocks (substation, generator room, boiler house), dyeing/finishing units where applicable, and administrative buildings.
Verify compliance with RSC Electrical Safety Standards, BNBC 2020, NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 70E, and individual buyer codes of conduct.
Perform deep-dive inspections of LT/HT panels (labeling, IP rating, dust-proofing, working clearance), cable management (trays, conduits, weatherproofing), earthing and lightning protection systems, RCDs/MCCBs, transformers, capacitor banks, and DG sets.
Review and validate Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, and electrical layouts against as-built site conditions; flag discrepancies and recommend updates.
2. Hazard Mitigation & Fire Risk Control
Proactively identify electrical hazards: loose connections, overloading, hotspots, unauthorized modifications, and unsafe proximity to combustible materials (cotton, fabric, packaging, chemicals).
Validate the accuracy of thermographic (IR) scans, insulation resistance tests, earth pit tests, and earth-leakage protection trips; oversee preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.
Support root-cause investigation of electrical incidents, near-misses, and fire events; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
3. Documentation, Reporting & CAP Closure
Monitor implementation and timely closure of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) issued by internal audits, RSC follow-up inspections, and buyer audits.
Maintain live compliance dashboards, remediation trackers, and evidence files (photographs, test reports, work orders, vendor certificates).
Produce high-quality audit reports, gap assessments, and remediation documentation suitable for RSC engineers, buyer auditors, and senior management review.
4. Coordination & Capacity Building
Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Maintenance, Fire Safety, ESHS/HSE, and Production teams to plan and verify remediation work.
Conduct electrical safety toolbox talks and structured training for electricians, technicians, line supervisors, and general workers.
Liaise with external consultants, certified contractors, and regulatory bodies during upgrades, retrofits, or scheduled inspections.
5. Added Advantage
Familiarity with social compliance (legacy Accord/Alliance and current RSC requirements; buyer codes such as H&M, Inditex, Walmart, Target, Primark, Aldi, M&S, Levi's).
Understanding of energy efficiency, e-waste handling, and electrical sustainability practices.
Exposure to regulatory bodies (DIFE, Fire Service & Civil Defence, BERC, REB/DESCO/DPDC).
Experience auditing vendors and sub-contractors for electrical safety across the supply chain.
